I've noticed people saying kamui is instant and while this is partially true, it's not entirely true IMO.

My theory is based on kamui being instant when used on a shinobi's FULL BODY, jutsu's, or objects like kunai's, shuriken, arrows, etc, but takes some time when used on a specific body part like a leg/head/arm, etc.

Here we see Kakashi being able to kamui weapons, jutsu's, and people's full bodies nigh instantly.

(Sasuke's arrow being kamui'd)

(Naruto's rasengan being kamui'd)

(Deidara being kamui'd)

(Naruto's BM clone being kamui'd)

Now here we see Kakashi trying to kamui certain body parts.

(Deidara's arm being kamui'd)

(Gedo Mazo's head being kamui'd)

One should be able to notice the difference when Kakashi kamuis a shinobi's full body, jutsu, or weapon as opposed to a specfic body part.

As you can see in the scans it clearly takes a bit more time to disconnect a specific body part and kamui it opposed to it being instant when trying to kamui a persons full body, jutsu, or weapon.

Have fun discussing and don't forget to tell me what you think of my theory U_U

I believe he said that he couldn't control it very well against Deidara, and against Gedo Mazo, it only took a second i believe. It's only that somehow, Tobi managed to notice it and stop it

We haven't seen a post from you in a while, welcome back

As for your theory its too loosely based on different uses of Kamui all at different skill levels of Kakashi meaning the evidence is insufficent to draw a conclusion from. However his multiple uses in the recent chapters really help your case e.g. Naruto's Rasengan

However it makes sense that warping a specific thing attached to someone takes longer due to things not being able to occupy the same space in the same place and time as something else e.g. the dimensional warp and the body part

When he traied to use Kamui on Deidara his technique wasn't perfected. And Gedo Mazo's neck is quite huge.

You're missing the point. He had no problem being able to kamui Deidara's full body instantly when Deidara was about to blow himself up yet struggled to kamui just his arm, which is essentially where my theory is coming from.

So his lack of control isn't really all that important here.

I appreciate the welcome back. And yea it wasn't until recent chapters that I started to think this theory may be plausible.

You're missing the point as well. Kakashi had zero issue in being able to kamui Deidara instantly when he was about blow himself up yet it took him time to absorb a specific body part in Deidara's arm.

This is shown again when he tries to kamui Gedo Mazo's neck and it takes some time. Some may say it's due to the size, but I beg to differ seeing as Deidara was huge when he tried to blow himself up and Kakashi had zero problem when using kamui on Deidara then.

No Problem we can't afford to lose the few good members we have on this site compared to the number of trolls

Yeah before his uses of Kamui weren't solid enough to draw conclusions from but only have a general idea that this could be slightly possible

btw are you gonna participate in the upcoming debate tourney ?

Well Kakashi was an amateur at using Kamui when he faced Deidara, so that is what i'd attribute that relatively long time to. One cannot disregard the fact that Kakashi has improved interms of his skill when it comes to Kamui. The head of Gedo Mazo is ridiculously large when compared to say, a Rasengan, and so it would logically make sense for it to require a longer amount of time. Just my two cents.

I think obito's eyes are like sasuke's eyes , antagonist .
The left eye of sasuke create black fire , the right absorbs it.
The left eye of obito send "HIS" dimension , via his eye , in the real at the place it looks ( like the left amaterasu ) , and the right eye ( tobi's one ) absorbs the real dimension beyond his eye in "HIS" dimension.

A clue : kakashi's whirlepool is clockwise and tobi's one goes the other side.

When kakashi make kamui on gedo (send space on his face ) , tobi goes in the other dimension to counter him , that shows the perfect antagonism of the left and right eye of an uchiwa.

Why would tobi need a physical contact if the door is his eye?Maybe he doesn't.
How much reality can he absorbs?

The trolls are indeed very large in numbers here.

Indeed.

It depends because I've got work, college courses coming up, and my girl I spend time with a lot, so I'm usually pretty busy, which is why I'm not on here much.

I'll definitely try though.

That is actually kind of an impressive theory, linking Sasuke's blaze release control to Obito's dimensional one to both counter act each other when used separately but compliment each other when used together

+Rep for the theory

Hopefully you decide to as i think you could really add your own style to the tourney by part taking, just talk to the organizers and work out what specific times/days your available and you can do your debates accordingly

btw i almost forgot +rep for the original theory

I think u misunderstood.
The left creates a thing ( a powerfull technique ) , the right absorbs that thing.
I didn't want to make a link between sasuke and obito or their complementarities.

No you misunderstood me misunderstanding what you originally said.

I basically meant when Obito possess both of his eyes they compliment each other but when 2 different people posses one each then they counter act each other
