So its been recently rumored that Obito may have used Kamui to transfer the Ten Tails into him. That is complete nonsense. If Obito used Kamui to transfer the Ten Tails into him, then he would've exploded from the inside-out.
Also, if the Kamui could absorb chakra, then Obito wouldn't really have needed the Rinnegan for anything.
In chapter 597, Kakashi gives a complete rundown on how Kamui works.
Its way more practical to believe that Obito used the Preta Path ability to absorb Madara's Black Zetsu and the Ten Tail's Chakra.
In chapter 560 Madara switches from the Sharingan to the Rinnegan to absorb Naruto's Rasenshuriken.
Madara only had his hand out so the ability to absorb chakra with Preta Path doesn't seem to require much time or effort. I know the Ten Tails is in a whole other ballpark compared to a Rasenshuriken but maybe Obito is just that strong?
Last but not least, we do see Obito at the end fused with the Ten Tails. I think the significance of showing us the Rinnegan and not the Sharingan is to explain to the reader how he became its Jinchuriki.
What do you think?
Edit: It seems there may be an issue with my claim that chakra can't be Kamui'd. The focus of the thread was to explain that you can't transfer chakra into you the same way someone would with a sealing technique or Preta Path.
