We dont know much about Kamuis deminsion, cant assume its just infinite space
However I think there will be more things going on in that dimension, so it should clear things up

Obito's Dimension probably co-exists at the same place and time as Narutoverse. Although that wouldn't explain how he can travel far away distances really quickly unless he can control that dimension, but that would mean it may not be instantaneous for him to alter his dimension since he could have just killed Kakashi if that was true, but then again if he had just gone into his dimension just to kill Kakashi that would mean that he would leave the Juubi unprotected, which would jeopardize his plan, this means that his whole body would have to be in the dimension for him to alter it.
