Now we are all by now familiar with the famous Kamui used by Obito Uchiha, Kakashi Hatake, and even Madara Uchiha. And we know that it involves placing an object in another dimension at the mercy of the user. But is this feat physically possible? I know its all an anime and we should never take things too seriously, but little do you know some of these fictitious feats often times lead the discovery of amazing notions.
First off lets begin with the anatomy of the Kamui. In the right eye we know the user requires a physical connection with the said object. Which is famous of the Obito Uchiha. Now everything on the physical plane of reality is matter, meaning it is comprised of atoms and has a spacial cognizance of a set material. I say on the physical plane because there are things in our universe impossible to the touch, such as light and magnetism etc. These have no matter per say to make build them on a tangible level hence cannot be touched. But back to the point; all things physical is matter. And as we know matter has density and mass. Now how far are we from transporting objects at the speed of light? That's what Kamui essentially is, it is the displacement (not movement) of an object from any set location to another through instantaneous light speed travel. Now physically, nothing in our universe can travel faster than light. That is why people/objects become distorted whenever affected by Kamui. It is sucking the very light around the object in on itself to the point of singularity or non-existence.
Pause right there. Sounds familiar? Isn't the Kamui just an extremely localized Black Hole? Yes, it is. But a black hole is so devastating, it could never be controlled! To that I say two things: 1) Its the Narutoverse baby and 2) Masashi Kishimoto is actually utilizing some immense physics and we didn't realize. Which brings the next and most OP possibility to the table. If he isn't using gravity to violently stuff a body in on itself. He is literally forming a Black Hole on the object and using the natural pull of the black hole to pull it in. Thats right, just when you thought Kamui couldn't get more haxed, there is the possibility of creating tiniy little black holes with ones eyes. But this option is waaaaayyy far fetched. As from what we've seen so far, Kamui only worked on an object. It has never been performed on an empty space, even when Obito is making an entrance and seems to pop out of nowhere, the powers are actually on work on his body. So it brings us right back to square one. That damn Sharingan is stuffing things into an extremely small radius and we don't know what is the force used. I'll leave it at that, because traditional physics deem that impossible. But hey, its the Narutoverse baby.
Where are these things going?! Aha, matter is neither created nor destroyed. As seen where even if a kunai is sucked into Kamui it can either come back out or get lost in the nothingness. It is never really gone. Now the interior, and location of the Kamui's dimension is the true fictional side to this madness and we'll leave it there. It's an animation aimed to fascinate our fiction loving minds and I won't argue with that. All we know is, it exists on the same plane as our (Narutoverse) dimension. Time is not affected there, as one second outside the dimension is still one second inside the dimension. Right there you can tell its parallel to this reality. Meaning its literally right there! But you need just the key (OB's Sharingan) to open it up. I don't want to bore you guys too long so here is the TL;DR.

Kind of like water rushing back to a container after being displaced. Our sun, has a S. radius of 3 km (1.86 miles) from a general size of 1.392 million km. Whoa, hold up there...you see how tiny this radius is?! The Earth is 40,008 km wide and has an S. radius of 9.0 mm... that's about the size of a premature peanut. The sheer force needed to squeeze a 1.989^30 kg object (The Sun) into a radius of 3 km requires an ungodly magnitude, one that will never be accessible to man. Now there you should see how Kamui works. By focusing on an object whether through touch (Obito) or sight (Kakashi and Madara) the user can simulateneously calculate and exploit the Schwarzschild radius of the object . Then, using his ocular powers will initiate the gravitational collapse of the said radius! So in layman's terms, the eyes of Obito Uchiha actually has the power to deduce the perfect radius of singularity of an object and initiate the process! The process being the object being forced in on itself by an extreme external force. But we know in the Narutoverse gravitational related techniques belong to the wielders of the Rinnegan.
