Kakuzu fought Hashirama and survived, while Tobirama was killed by the unit of the Gold and Silver Brothers. Need I remind you that the brothers got fodderized by Darui? Kakuzu wins by how Kishimoto's portrayal and by feats.

Kakuzu doesn't have time to waste on Tobirama he fought his elder brother Hashirama and survived, Tobirama with a Raikage by his side was an inch away from death via Kinkaku and Ginkaku. And then got killed by some random no names.

Sorry pal but do we know the exact circumstances of those 2 fights (Kakuzu vs Hashirama and Tobirama /Raikage vs Kin/Gin brothers). All we know is that Kakuzu wanted to assassinate Hashirama and failed. We don´t know was that actual battle or just did Kakuzu tried by surprise attack , some form of trap or similar. Based on feats Hashirama destroys him literally in a minute without any effort.

Same goes for Tobirama against Brothers . Based on feats Tobirama is above them.So no in a fair fight those 2 don´t stand a chance against Tobirama and Raikage (Assuming his strength is average for a kage). They probably took them by surprise.

the initial strike the gold silver bros and their team of ninja did on tobirama and the 2nd raikage was a surprise attack. But Tobirama wasn't killed in a surprise attack, he willingly faced the kinkaku unit knowing he wouldn't make it out alive. I agree with you though. What exactly happened with Kakuzu and Hashi is too muddy to claim Kakuzu beats Tobirama solely because of it.
