NarutoX28 said what needed to be said. The fighters are dead equal.

1 mistake from either of these 2 means the other wins. But since people like to lean towards Kisame more by a landslide then its good to address this:

1. Samehada has always shown to absorb chakra based with its limited hitbox range. And volume.
2. Samehada absorption speed vary based on its liking of taste.

Factor those in against Kakuzu's ninjutsu and we will have a speculative battle on how much Samehada can consume, its high volume at a time.

Then you have the fact that both of these characters have high level and high scale of element ninjutsu. One can argue that the environment Kakuzu was able to engulf, was bigger then Kisame was able to produce with Suiton. But thats dismissing deductive reasoning to say that both scaling of jutsu dont rival each other.

That being said:

Kisame Suiton facing Kakuzu's ninjutsu is simple:

Suiton vs Futon = Suiton reduces and softens the attack power (IMO)
Suiton vs Katon = Suiton>Katon obviously
Suiton vs Raiton = Suiton blocks Raiton penetrated power but converts it electrical conductor.
Suiton vs Doton = Doton obviously tanks.

Kakuzu excellent in nature manipulation means he can take out any Suiton Kisame has to offer (bar Great Shark), based on canon that Suiton is not enough to take off combo Futon+Katon.

So literally any Suiton attempting to be produce here will have to encounter Zukokku (powered by Futon). Add the fact that Samehada struggle to taking in Katon as its liking means the only factor jutsu Kisame has here is Great Shark.

So by far the match up isnt anywhere near a landslide. If we want to know the exact stronger of the 2, then yes it would be Kisame based on his movesets, capable of fighting stronger level opponents. Nothing more nothing less

You undercut Kakuzu but not bringing up his threads which are incredibly useful here.

Honestly, kisama can make the water dome to drown him but with all 5 masks has kisame shown the ability to absorb ninjutsu? if not kakuzu can us enlightening to shock kisame, fire+wind to steam the water bubble away and domo to tank.
Hype and feats point to kisame, logically kakuzu has the tools to win

You undercut Kakuzu by saying he loses around mid diff lol.

But yes I could of brought them up. But I was speaking more in a general sense then play by play scenarios I could argue.
Well in this scenario his threads will always be brought up so I mean :lol

Its mid diff because if Kisame uses GSB its over pretty much, which thanks to his chakra he can do with only medium difficulty.

Unless you have in mind that Kakuzu's Mask are all present to get caught in the blast then yeah. Which hardly a realistic scenario, so no he dies and revives back.

His masks are pretty useless once he's fused, so I tend to think they reside in his body when he goes long range mode however if they're not its not going to take too much effort to hunt them down individually.

Or Kakuzu travels underground to evade it similar to what Kakashi did against Itachi's Katon.

If you have some feats that he could do that quick enough, he's hand went down quick enough but unlike Kakashi he basically has to dig the hole with the threads himself so it takes more time than Hiding like a mole.

All chakra that touches Kisame is absorbed so what are the masks going to do here?

No you didn't? I see nothing about countering the absorption. My point is that the masks are useless when he's fused lol end of story.
As I was saying, I didnt understanding your premise. Because we went from mentioning, dealing with, GSB to you now talking about Kakuzu trapped in WD.

My point was that his masks would be inside his body most likely instead of having them helpless outside the body :lol so they die when he gets hit by GSB

Why would all of his mask be inside his body when his whole fighting style is built around match up base? Kakuzu always has a back up plan when he is backed in a corner, so he has no reason to have all of his mask inside of him.

And I dont know where you are getting the "Mask are helpless outside the field" from.

What do they do EJ please inform me on any use of them in this fight when Kisame is fused :lol Kakuzu merges with them usually to go long range mode.

I'm going to sleep after this response.

Mask merely act as Kakuzu's Clone. At least someone, like Kakashi's caliber, isn't able to excute something they couldnt react to.

Be more clear in your premise. You said you are not mentioning WD in your premise, when Kisame fused is part of his WD jutsu only. Here is what I already said concerning setting up Suiton:

Kakuzu excellent in nature manipulation means he can take out any Suiton Kisame has to offer (bar Great Shark), based on canon that Suiton is not enough to take off combo Futon+Katon.

So literally any Suiton attempting to be produce here will have to encounter Zukokku (powered by Futon). Add the fact that Samehada struggle to taking in Katon as its liking means the only factor jutsu Kisame has here is Great Shark.
Now if you making the claim, Kisame fused does not need a Water source then it literally changes nothing in my premise:

And rewind back:

Add the fact that Samehada struggle to taking in Katon...
