Hey guys, I just wanted to make a thread showing that Kakuzu can beat the Second Mizukage. This would also mean that he makes a very strong case for top ten.

The Second Mizukages jutsu.

Summoning: Clam/Mirage Genjutsu: The Mizukage summons a clam which realeses a gas that creates a mirage of the clam and Mizukage while they are able to hide.

Joki Boy: The Mizukage creates a clone of himself with a water inner body and oil coating. The clones runs and thenoils heats up the water. The water turns to steam and Joki Boy expands until it explodes. The steam rises and cools off creating the clone again. The cycle restarts.

Hozuki Clans Technique: This allows the Mizukage to turn into water which is more oil based to escape any physical harm

Water Gun Technique: Shoots a droplet of water from his finger, pierced through gaaras sand

How Kakuzu can counter his techniques

Summoning: Clam/Mirage Genjutsu: Kakuzu can use his wind and fire combos to destroy the area that the Genjutsu covers, hitting the clam. He can also use the masks to fly around and attack multiple spots until the clam is found, Kakuzu and the masks can also use their threads to find it.

Joki Boy: Kakuzus Earth Grudge Fear which turned his body into threads would be able to absorb most of the impact. He can also use his earth spear to turn his skin into iron to also stop the impact. He can also use his lightning release to electrocute Joki Boy making him weak. Also earth>water

Hozuki Clans Technique: He can use his lightning release to nullify this effect

Water Gun Technique: As stated above Earth>Water. So his Earth Spear would easily block this.

Conclusion

Kakuzu can use his threads, ninjutsu, and huge fire/wind combos to find the clam along with his masks ability to fly. His compacted body of threads along with being able to turn his skin to iron would absorb the impact of Joki Boys explosions. He may also use lightning release to nullify it. Lightning release would also be used to nullify the Mizukages ability to turn into water. After this he is a sitting duck and awaits for his heart to be taken.​

-The clam continually produces mist until it is destroyed. Trying to get rid of it without getting rid of the clam won't work. Randomly attacking places is a bad tactic as the clam can move around from spot to spot and Kakuzu will be wasting chakra.

-Joki Boy is too large of an explosion for Kakuzu to simply tank not to mention it is extremely fast and Kakuzu has no way to stop it. Electrocuting him won't do much when it will just explode and reform.

-Kakuzu will never be able to find him before the Joki Boy+Mirage Genjutsu combo gets him killed.

Trollkage takes this low-mid diff. Kakuzu is a sitting duck who can't do anything about Joki Boy or the Mirage Genjutsu.

I never said he could clear the mist. If you go back and watch, his fire/wind combos covered more area than the Mizukages mist does, but bro GREAT POST.

Thanks man, some people forget how large his ninjutsu are, the first fire release he used in that fight was larger than any other fire release shown in the series. I'm not even trolling. My jaw dropped when I watched it again.

2. Electric attacks on jouky boy will cause it to heat faster, and if not Kakuzu wont catch up with its speed. JB also has a sharped arm that could be of use agains the strings. Tanking an explosion, let alone unlimited ones, is never an option even for Kakuzu.

So he will think back to when he saw the clam first spitting mist and he will analyze the situation. Oh and another thing. All he has to do is use his Wind/fire combo. It does not matter if he knows they are illusions or not because the wind/fire combo is so large it will still hit the real ones.

Suits you. Your opinion sounds like "spam and hope for the best" which I doubt will work.

Interesting...I never considered it.

Kakuzu's Earth Spear does in fact trump water style Jutsu.

Also, it gives him Diamond hard skin so that trumps explosives

Still, the Clam Mirage is a tough opponent. Considering his age, he would know of the Trollkage's genjutsu...as a Kage his power would be fairly rumored about even if he tried to be secretive.


So, as you said, the ability to use his large area effect strikes would help. Also, he can move his threads underground so he may find it that way. Now if the genjutu truly occurs from the steam produced by the clam...in theory wind should be able to blow it back or create a realm of unaffected air....though this is unlikely considering no one did it.
