I don't think he was the most badass, but he was definitely an awesome character. I'd say the most badass is Nagato, Tobi, or Sasori.

No because some how all of a sudden shadow clones can learn something on their own and once called away naruto gets their knowledge. and some how no matter how smart his enemy might be they always get tricked by shadow clones. sounds like BS to me i mean he honestly at one point got himself out of a genjutsu that itachi put him in i mean come on seriously :shrug:

How do you figure when he has to atleast be the second oldest or third and survived a battle against the first hokage? i will admit nagato might be the strongest akatsuki member but kakuzu has the most experience and has to have the best battle tactics

ot: its because he underestimated naruto, so he let down his guard, if it was naruto at that time vs kakuzu one hundred percent and serious , it would have ended much different.

also, people seem to underestimate rasenshuriken's power then. if the backlash on the user was enough for it to be labelled kinjutsu, imagine the force on the victim

Yes, Kakuzu is pretty badass. He's not the most badass in the Akatsuki but he's my third favorite character and pretty baws, so I agree with this thread. I thought his greed was especially interesting. Too bad he got trolled. :shrug:

!!!!! THANK YOU! Finally a true intelligent answer I am fed up of this plotnojutsu BS, its Kishis manga and plus the shadow clones where always meant to be used to gather info but were labled forbidden as they divide chakra between you and the clone so its risky, Kakashi just taught Naruto the proper use, I think its just Naruto didn't pay much attention in the past and Hell yea rasenshurikens under-rated in this thread. Naruto out smarted him with his clones get over it

He was a good shinobi overall but he was kinda weak compared to someone like Nagato, Tobi, Naruto etc
But he sure was a badass
