People confond "same level" and "win".Kakuzu and Itachi are on same level,even if Itachi win it's certainly not high difficulty.How can't he be in Itachi level when we know that he fought Hashirama.

- He has 5hearts and 5chakra system, so genjutsu may be useless since even if one chakra system fall under Itachis control, the other could wake him up.

- He has his doton defense that could make him almost untouchable in close combat. Only raiton is his weakness

- He has great long range attack and has a great experience in battle and i suppose he has great knowledge about sharingan since he fought all this time

- With all his jutsus he can overwhelm Itachi and he has much more chakra than him, so Itachi could not keep up if the fight last too long

By hype, he fought Hashirama when at that time he was young, with only one heart and one affinity, without the experience he achieved during his life and managed to survive. Now he is even much more powerful than back then. He was even the strongest in his village, and if authorities wanted him to assassinate Shodai(suppose to be the strongest in ninja world), that means Kakuzu must have been one of the strongest at that time. So begin to imagine right now, when he is even stronger than at that time...

Kakashi and Kakuzu are on similar levels, skill wise. It's unknown if current Kakashi has the stamina to take him on now. It's obvious he didn't back then, but it's possible now.

And neither are even remotely close to Itachi. They have nothing that can get past susanoo. Itachi's intelligence would end the fights quickly.

Just look at what Itachi did vs Kakashi in part 1. Noted that Kisame would take far too long taking on Kakashi, then made the decision to end it quickly with tsukuyomi. Why? He knows if he were to enter in to a CQC/ninjutsu fight with Kakashi it would take far too long and it could very well push Itachi to his limits.

Itachi isn't some stupid spammer like Sasuke, he takes the best approach possible to fighting his opponents. If that means resorting to MS right off the back, so be it. If it means entering a CQC fight, so be it.

i think im one of few to agree with you... + rep for being courageous enough to say this.... especially as itachi has a new fan wagon coming in cus of recent chapters , let alone some of his fanboys/girls too... :/ one thing i do question is amaterasu... but apart from that i fully agree with you

not true inspite of spectulation and crap arguments kakazu would still get beaten by most of itachis genjutsus.

the 5 hearts don't have minds of there own and the can't think and disrupt chakra for him self. so if he's caught in a genjutsu he will have to take the time to disrupt the chakra himself.
leaving him open, if that genjutsu is tsukuyomi he won't be able to break it regardless.

If susanoo is in the equation. theres no question about it.

kakazu would get one shotted straight away by the totsuka sword. like othere more powerful ninja have been.

Remember when Hidan accidentaly cursed Kakuzu, killed one of his hearts, and then the other two hearts who still were 'alive' went to the dead body of Kakuzu and revived him on their own? Yeah because that proves that the hearts have minds of their own and that they can think lol

And Susanoo isn't the perfect Jutsu, maybe for a Edo Tensei Madara or Itachi who can spam the Jutsu. But after using susanoo for about 15min sasuke got blind and after using susanoo for like 3 min during the fight against sasuke itachi died so Itachi can't spam Susanoo like he did against Kabuto. And as Sasuke told us us the useage of Susanoo is connected with horrible pain in every cell.

Thanks for the +rep For the Amaterasu naturally it could be a great problem for Kakuzu since we don't know what he could do against it, but on the other hand, if we begin to think that Itachi could one shot kakuzu that easily with Amaterasu, then he can one-shot almost everybody beginning by Hashirama(what could he do against that?), Madara, etc.

That's where Kakuzus experience in battle could help him in battle, especially when you know that Amaterasu has a limit of range and can be prevented. He fought Hashirama and had long life, so i suppose he must know Sharingan very well. I don't know if he knows Amaterasu though. Anyway i'm not saying Itachi won't win. I'm only saying that Kakuzu can win also. He is on his level even if Itachi is slightly stronger i think

Can't necessarily say that they could be on the same level since they don't have the same abilities. It all depends what opponents they fight.

In a fight between those two, I would say Itachi would win due to his Susanoo and legendary weapons.
