He lost because he was outnumbered and it was not fair.

He was fighting ( kakashi, shikamaru, ino , choji, naruto, sai, yamato and sakura)

That wasn't even fair fight.

Kakuzu survived and almost beat hashirama before 70 years .
Yes he's so old and we can't compare him with konoha ninja .

I believe his level is close to hashirama and madara as well .
His age 97 effected his performance in fight but his experience
Was the reason that made him survive until old age.

Kakuzu surly can solo itachi or nagato and I considering him the
Strongest akatsuki member.

Sadly he doesn't care about rule the world or destroy it , his only concern
And passion was collecting more money which made him like
Real Mafia boss but I think the money is Kakuzu weakest point and

i think he could have been strong enough to get into the top 10 list , sadly we never got to see him at his physical best , surviving a battle with Hashirama MUST mean kakuzu had more in the trunk than what we have seen

Ok, lets straigthen this out:
A. no he can't. For example: Hiruzen, Tobirama, Hashirama, Jiraiya, Tsunade, Naruto (SM and KM), can all easilty solo him. If you disagree with this, you should better re-watch the anime
B. Really? Can he dodge Ameterasu? What can he do against Susano'o? Or What about Hashi's wood dragon or just-wood-statue-thing? Come on, Kakuzu isn't even close to their level. His age made him weaker? On the contrary, more than that, it has been stated that while he was still an ANBU he was missioned to assasin Hashi, yet utterally failed. So his age has nothing to do with it, actually he even got stronger with age.
C. No, Itachi easily kicked oro's ass, and Oro > Kakuzu (It's as obvious as Pain > Konohamaru ). Now.. you say Kakuzu > Nagato .. like I mean, this is just THE PROOF you're trolling here man, and you aren't very good at it. Look at it like this: Kakuzu lost to team Kakashi+Yamato, Nagato defeated all of Konoha (excluding Naruto). Don't start telling me that he had Konan with him, because she pretty much did nothing, yet Kakuzu had Hidan helping him alot, and still lost..
