Makes sense since Kakuzu fought Hashi, meaning he was obviously alive during those years(last chap. page) due to the fact that he lived long enough to get killed by the hands of Naruto.

Great theory, could actually be true. That means that Kakuzu and Madara have known each other much longer then previously thought. But this leaves me with a further question, did Kakuzu know that Tobi = Obito and that Nagato was suppose to Rinne Edo Tensei no jutsu Madara back to life?

And lol, I think Madara paid Kakuzu
