The Amaterasu would spread along the threads & roast Kakuzu. Isn't that clear?
If he detaches threads enton Kagutsuchi forms spikes leaping right back at him. & If Kisame were to fire GSB at Kakuzu whiles he's burning, there's no guarantee it'll win the elemnental match up despite absorbing ninjutsu. Kisame would most likely have just KO'd his partner leaving him alone to fight Sasuke & Shisui.

I don't recall Sasuke ever manipulating Enton that wasn't directly linked to him, either via Susano'o or other proxy means. Either way, Manipulating it back on is useless WHEN Daikodan hits. There's no reason to believe it won't absorb Amaterasu, and with five hearts, some most likely not being on Kakuzu at the time, I think he's fine. it's not like he contributes much to the battle, it's easier for Kisame without him.

As for them spreading, fair enough but in the matter of seconds they won't consume him.

Confused at what you meant @ the underlined part. Also Completely forgot Kisame can force samehada so I concede there. I'm not saying Amaterasu is a threat to Kisame while fused since he can sense it, but apart from GSB or Me I's water dragon I don't see anything cancelling Ama.

I'd go far as too say he can hit Kisame underwater, unless his speed underwater is greater than V2 Ay. wouldn't kill him tho.

It won't block is what I meant, sorry. Train of thought and fingers didn't quite agree. Samehada quite easily counters Amaterasu, and it;'s not a threat for that reason. Underwater, movements have more drag time and Kisame is > V2 Killer Bee in movement speed. It'd depend on exactly where their positions are, and exactly the conditions of the water. In the WD? Yeah, they're likely not hitting or surviving it. If it's just a body of water? They probably will hit Kisame, nothing short of an arrow though.

Kakuzu has the potential to block Amaterasu with his tissue creatures and if he gets hit in the arm while it's stretched, he could cut it off.

If he manages to survive Amaterasu at least for a few seconds, he could create an unbelievably powerful elemental ray that could pose a huge problem for the Susano'o users.
