Eh, sort of. You could say that Kakashi awakened it by killing Rin. You could say Obito awakened it by witnessing Rin's death. Either one works.

You need to read the chapters if you haven't. Kakashi's Sharingan Mutations can be attributed to Obito's as he lacks the necessary genetic traits synonymous with Uchiha Clan to accomplish them. Henceforth, the Kamui ability together with MS are all because his eye acts as a pair to Obito's. It should be obvious as Obito's eye in Kakashi's socket reacted and he could perceive everything just as a pair of eyes would. Whilst Kakashi couldn't.

Obito was the one who awakened the Ms.. what happen is, when kakashi stab rin in his chest, obito was so shocked and really really emotional that before those things happen he could see through kakashi's sharringan then after that awakened the one of the opiest ms
