Those in the ninja world who break the rules are scum this is true...but those who abandon their friends are worse than scum!
When kakashi told naruto, sasuke, and sakura this they all felt better about themselves...but sasuke has gone down the wrong path he doesn't even acknowledge kakashi's wise words anymore he has become the scum of the ninja world. Naruto being the hero doesn't want to see his friend walk down this path. I think these wise words have influenced naruto greatly and that is what is in the back of his mind. when he says he wants to "save sasuke from the chaos of vengeance" naruto wants sasuke to remember Kakashi's teachings and maybe that will be enough to bring sasuke back to the village and maybe just those words alone are the answer to true peace. When naruto fights sasuke for the last time I get the feeling those words will be spoken again. Then sasuke will return home.
