Kakashi's past

Now in the interview with Kishimoto he said he'd like to write more about Kakashi's past. Now even before reading the interview I was thinking Kakashi himself would make a good sideline story to Naruto. I mean we would get to see the 1000 jutsus he's copied and personally I want to know what his personality was like before his father's death? I mean we see that he has a goofy mentality sometimes and I wonder if that's what he was like before he got all serious. Also Kakashi's story would allow us to see more of the characters that we wonder about like Sakumo, Obito (though we know his fate), Rin (what really happened to her), Minato (just because we all want to), and Gai as a young man growing up. I mean he himself would make an epic series that could then lead into the Naruto series. What do you guys think?

I would like to see more about Kakashi's past (Kakashi gaiden 2), but I think story behind the formation of the leaf would be better cause I find it hard to believe that the First and Second had a loving brother realtionship.

Yes, seeing how Kakashi and Yamato met and their ANBU adventures would be epic. I also want to see his trials and battles that got him to being the strongest ninja in the village. I'm a huge Kakashi fan (I know typical fanboy to write his topic about his favorite character) and I just think his story would be the best to explain past characters of the leaf.


Well, either his or Hiruzen's which now that I think about it would probably be bettr for explaining past events and we'd get to see all the great characters like Harashima, Tobirama, Minato, Orochimaru, Tsunade, Jiraiya, Danzo, village elders, Kagami Uchiha, and pretty much all past heroes of the leaf.

Agreed, there's too much untouched material for Kishi to let rot. And a lot of it has really good potential. I think that a Kakashi mini-series, or at least another Gaiden should be made.

agree with u...Also i would like to see more of kakashi's battles when he was young, and more of his jutsus(he has around 1000 but we saw him using only ~ 20.)

Kakashi is definitely one of the most interesting characters in the story, partly because there's quite a bit of mystery shrouding him — and I'm not just referring to the mask xD

It's great Kishi is giving him more attention. I'd like to see him making Gaidens for other characters, too. Perhaps Madara?

I agreed. Even after the years, Kakashi is still such a mystery. Not only him, but also his father, Sakumo. I really wanted to know where his father came from: the leaf, of from other villages like from Lightning.

The similarity between the Third Raikage's lightning jutsu and Kakashi's Chidori and Raikiri made me even more curious of Kakashi's origin.
