So, Kakashi has faced a lot of shit and he's still a good guy:

1)Mother dies and father kills himself
2)Best friend is believed to be dead
3)Accidentally kills the girl who loved him
4)His sensei sacrifices his life for his village
5)Best friend turns out to be the masked man.

Still, remains true to his ways and doesn't turn evil.

All hail Lord Kakashi! One of the best and coolest characters of this manga.
