Arlight, so with 605 it has become clear Kakashi and Obito awoke the MS with Rin's death and this obviously brings up with question Why didn't Kakashi use it in Part 1?

I have no clue, but here is my excuse

Here we have Sasuke awaking his normal sharingan during his fight with Itachi right after the Uchiha Massacre, so I'm thinking, Kakashi awoke the MS but was so traumatized by his killing of Rin he simply forgot about it or buried the power deep in his mind. And come on, how in the world would Kakashi even know about the MS to begin with? At that time and to our knowledge he was the only person in Konoha even with the MS. Is he supposed to head over to the Uchiha district and say, "Hey, something weird happened with the sharingan Obito gave me - take a look!"

true. i can side with that. then again i think that kakashi never grasped the ability to use the MS. remember in the beginning of shippuden he stated that the ability was far from complete. he let daidara flee the scene and he was in critical condition from using it ONCE. kakashi also isn't big on charka. he is a strategic fighter. kakashi only uses the sharigan when he has to. Let alone the MS. i'm surprised he used it as much as he did fighting obito.

Well I wouldn't really see exactly how he would learn to use the MS, ya know? I mean, Sasuke was pretty much ripping off Itachi but how did Kakashi learn?
