Kakashi's Kamui

So the manga states that Obito must make physical contact to use his Kamui, where as Kakashi has to focus on his target. So how did Kakashi manage to bring himself out of the other dimension? Was this just a oops, or does anyone have any theories?

My guess is that he copied Obito's jutsu

He can't the physical part is only Obito's eye. One eye controls physical where as the other controls focused objects. It just made me wonder.

But when he did that to Deidara, if only took his arm. So then would he just teleport his hand, and only his hand?

No kakashi cut deidaras hand off cause he couldn't hold the jutsu anymore, so he stopped it before he could fully suck deidara in.

He used kamui on his hand because its connected to his body, its sorta like a eating yourself thing.

Sharingan can't copy kekkei genkai techniques even if the caster use the same thing(otherwise Kakashi could copy amaterasu,tsukoyomi etc.)
I believe the ability to adsorb your self is a different aspect of kamui that is granted in both eyes.
If you think about it,Obito would have to touch himself (I know it sounds weird,don't get me wrong) to adsorb his whole body or part of his body.
But he doesn't do it.Meaning that he only need to touch an external target to kamui it and not himself.
Same goes for Kakashi.He has to concentrate his sight on the target,but when it comes to him he can absorb his whole body without having to look at it.
The eye is connected with the optical nerves,which are connected to the whole nervous system,so therefore with the whole body,so kamui can automatic be used on the body it is connected without any other requirements.

Both eyes have slightly different abilities, itachi & sasuke both use each eye for different sharingan jutsus

Well they basically have the same ability with a little variation.It's not that it's a different technique.It's still kamui with a little variation,it's not like saying tsukuoymi and amaterasu.It's just absorbing yourself and someone else.
How do you explain then that Obito doesn't touch the part of his body he want's to adsorb but he has to touch an external object??

Well the answer is quite simple really. Kakashi, just got a dose of chakra from the Kyubi; do you remember. So i am sure he had chakra in excess of what he usually wud have had. An he marely just needed to look at himself and kamui himself out of that dimension.

Kakashi used kamui to get out of the dimension before he got a boost from Kurama.
And I don't see what chakra has to do with the OP question.

He closed the portal, thus cutting Deidara's arm.
