You guys seem to be confused on how Obito's method of Kamui works.
He isn't "phasing". He's teleporting specific portions of his body so they won't get it. Nothing is "phasing" through Obito when this happens, they just simply aren't connecting with him because his body isn't there. We've already seen Kakashi can use his Kamuo to pinpoint specific targets, and I see no reason why he wouldn't be able to do the same with his body (other than the fact he's never practiced it).
@bold. You are incorrect. Yes we have seen kakashi pinpoint specific targets as a whole, we've never seen him pinpoint a portion of a target. That is what obito does to his body. He targets only a small part of the entire thing. kakashi can't do that. The one time he tried was against diedara, and he ripped his arm of. If kakashi pinpoints a part of a target, he sends that portion to the other dimension, effectively severing that portion permanently.
What you don't understand about obito's kamui is that his eye gives him the ability to dematerialize. When obito "phases through" his method of sending his body parts changes. Unlike the regular kamui that just sends the target to the other dimension, Obito is able to dematerialize his body part and rematerialize it back. We were given evidence of this twice. Once here, when Kakashi said it:

And when Obito saved Sasuke from oonoki's jinton. Jinton breaks down your molecular structure and dematerializes you. Obito saved him by rematerializing his body. The materialization method is also how Obito does his shuriken attack with kamui most likely. He simply dematerializes them and then rematerializes them for use.
Kakashi, to our knowledge, can't materialize objects. I won't say it's impossible for him to. It may just be from a lack of practice. But no evidence has been given to say both eyes share the same abilities.
Clearly false, obito's intangibility enables him to have connection to both words while simple warp to one only.

Here you can see obito channelling outer chains while fully intangible thus in kamui world, something he cant achieve with just being warped to other dimension.
After witnessing Rin Nohara dying at Kakashi's hands, Obito Uchiha awakened his Mangekyō Sharingan.[3] As the two share the same pair of eyes, Obito's Mangekyō Sharingan also allows him to use Kamui, although his version differs from that of Kakashi's. Whereas Kakashi's version works on targets from a distance, Obito's version requires him to first make physical contact with a target besides himself and afterwards he can teleport the target back from the other dimension. In addition, Obito's version gives him a form of "intangibility", brought about by him teleporting portions of his body for short periods of time, no more than five minutes, to the other dimension in order to avoid damage or pass through obstacles. This also provides Obito immunity from Kakashi's Kamui being used directly against him since they both access the same dimensional space, though attacks being warped by Kamui to the other dimension can bypass Obito's intangibility.[
Their function is identical. However, their APPLICATION differs.
Kakashi chose (or settled into) the method of using it for long range attacks. It's what he's familiar and skilled with.
Obito chose (or settled into) the method of using it for personal defense.
Can they do each other's functions? Of course. Kakashi's kamui was just used by Madara self-warp. Kakashi just didn't use it that way because he wasn't comfortable with it and never trained to use it that way. Ditto for Obito.
They aren't the same tho. Kakashis warps whatever he looks at. Obito warps himself and anything he touches. Kakashi just has to focus the hole close by to go into the dimension.

He can and he has. Gedo Statue's head, for example.
What you seem to be missing is Kakashi's giant bold statement at the bottom of the page,
"It's all one jutsu!"
He stated he THOUGHT that he was using two jutsus, one to dematerialize and the other to Kamui objects. But then he corrects himself; It's just Kamui. There is no "demateralization". When Obito "phases" through objects, he is literally only KAMUING that single portion of his body, rather than the whole. It's all just Kamui, just applied differently.
Now, Kakashi obviously couldn't do that himself (even if he did have his eye currently). He's never practiced it. In fact, he chose to perfect the OPPOSITE method, long range Kamui.
However, we have seen him use Kamui to completely teleport himself from each dimension. Hypothetically, if he trained and practiced, I see no reason why he wouldn't eventually be able to kamui certain portions of his body as Obito does.

Are you dense, or blind?
Only his bottom torso is being Kamui'd there. His top half is not and can thus control the chains.
And FYI, it's not intangibilty. Intangibility is when objects pass through your actual physical being.
That's a mistake from Kishi, an overlook. We've already received an explanation of Kamui from Kishimoto, when Obito is "intangible" he is actually in the Kamui dimension. So in that scan... That really shouldn't have happened. Unless he also Kamui'd the chains he was holding.

The gedo statue was not an example of an kakashi successfully using kamui to send a portion of an object to the other dimension without permanently severing the part. You don't listen. Obito sends his body part to the other dimension without damaging himself because he isn't severing his body part, he's simply dematerializing it and then rematerializing it. Kakashi has never successfully done this. The one time he tried, he permanently ripped off diedara's arm. Now imagine if kakashi tried that on himself. He'd tear his limbs offf. Yet it makes sense to you that is is something he can practice and learn? How many attempts and severed body parts do you think it will take before he gets it? Assuming he doesn't kill himself first?
And yes it is one jutsu. I didn't miss that. Amaterasu is one jutsu, whether Sasuke is using one eye to create the flame or the other to manipulate it. It's one jutsu, but the application of it is effected by the eye being used. Obito's eye applies dematerialization, which grants him a practical use that the other eye can't perform. The same way that Kakashi can send distant objects but Obito can't.
There really isn't an argument. You made my point already
My mistake, I guess I'm the one who's blind.

Or it should cuz when kakashi warps your head you're dead but when obito makes his head intangible he clearly is alive and that can only happen if he is somehow present at both dimensions

@Bold That's your problem. He isn't present in both dimensions at once. How can you not understand this? The parts of his body overlapping with the attack are IN KAMUI, they aren't in the normal dimension at all. If they were, they would have been hit. That's why they had to attack his body parts while he was sending them in Kamui
You seem to be confused on what I'm saying. Focus, now:
Each Kamui has the potential to be the same. They are only applied differently.
IE if you put Kakashi's eye in Obito and Obito's eye in Kakashi, Kakashi would still be using it for long range attacks and Obito would still be using it for personal defense.
This is because there is no distinction between the two other than how they're applied. They are both Kamui, they are the same jutsu and are capable of the same things.

You clearly can see his body going to Kamui from where an attack overlaps. His actual body is in kamui, which is why they can hit it there! How can you not understand this?

Yet the rest of his body doesnt bleed off in real world.
Yet he can channel chakra chains in real world.
Yet he can move in real world when his body isnt

You dont know a thing about kamui, all you do is cling to kakashi's incomplete conclusion that "its one jutsu" when even madara says the other eye has it's original ability.
Do you remember that sharingans are antagonists eyes?
The right eye ability annihilates the left eye's.
Sasuke uses Amaterasu with one eye and annihilates it with the other.
Left amaterasu+right amatersu=0
We saw that Kakashi's kamui is annihilated by Obito's.
right kamui+left kamui=0.
I bet right kamui (Obito's ability) is different than left kamui (Kakashi's).
