Kakashi's Chidori Nerfed?

I'm sure there has been threads about this already, but without the sharingan, is Kakashi's Chidori nerfed? If I'm not mistaken, the sharingan allowed Kakashi to react to the movement of his enemies even though he was running at high speeds. Before he received the sharingan, Chidori was easily countered because he could only run in a straight line and couldn't react to the enemy.

Am I wrong?

He knows 1000 thousand techniques chidori wont stop em. He has Rasengan anyway xD he can add the other many elements he know
