kakashis and obitos sharingan

Alright so i know obito didnt die but do you think its possible that instead of obito awaking his mangekyou sharingan it could have been kakashis doing because when he obtained obitos sharingan he was clearly seeing obito dying before his eye lol or so he thought. So the emotional pain he felt could have been enough to awaken the mangekyou but he just didnt realize he had it, or have the knowledge on how to use it. I know he didnt kill him but he saw him "die". There's ways to obtain stuff in the narutoverse ill never understand. I mean look at how sasuke and he obtained mangekyou, he didn't kill his best friend and he still got it. I think in my opinion kakashi awakened the mangekyou and that's how when madara said to obito "i dont know how that rock didnt crush you. Its almost as if you were able to slip away from it..." its because kakashi awakened it and obito used it to survive without knowing it.
Any thought on this? Thanks for your opinions if you write one.

Certainly a possibility. It would explain how both Kakashi and Obito awakened their Mangekyo through "unknown" means.

I also think it was the despair of losing Rin that got Obito his mangekyo. This could have happened at two points:
As he was about to "die" under the rock, he thinks about leaving behind his friends and never seeing Rin again as in "losing the one he cares for the most" even though he's the one dying. The emotions based on this awakens his mangekyo and he Kamuis himself out.
OR Madara saves him somehow and he still doesn't have the mangekyo. He later kinds out Rin died and Kakashi didn't save her. So actual loss of Rin and figurative loss of Kakashi as a friend because he failed in protecting Rin awakens the mangekyo.

Ya i was also thinking that obioto could have also awakened it under the rock or later buy some plot no jutsu way but something i'm glad you didn't say is that he awakened it by killing rin because I've heard some people make theory's like that and it just doesn't make since i mean if he loved her so much he wouldn't kill her, in another way though he could have been forced to kill her by madara for his own personal goals but i'm sure we'll find out later in the manga.

Totally agree that it is a possibility..And im sure that awakening the mangekyou by killing your best friend isnt the only way...emotion is most likely the key...killing your best friend obviously will make you have some pretty sad/angry etc emotions so yah..
