I don't know if this thread was already made in the past.
But my theory is MS are inter-connected.
The moment Obito saw that Kakashi killed Rin,he gained MS.After a short while OR at the same time,Kakashi gained MS too.

After that,Kakashi faints because he does not have an Uchiha body.

Well,in the theory of others that Kakashi have a weak bond with Obito,I can say that you have to kill your closest/special
someone in order to gain MS.Kakashi did not kill Obito.And besides,Obito did not die.

Obito isn't his best friend? For most of the time he hated him, only at his death he truly liked him. Afterwards, i'm assuming, rin and minato became his best friends

obito awake his ms because he saw rin dying and he loved her. since kakashi has obito's sharingan, that one also awakened.
this is kinda stupid since sasuke saw his whole family dying by the hands of his own brother and still didnt get a single tomoe in his eye...
