I just thought about how equally cool the Naruto series would of been if it was Kakashi instead. From his academy days with his dad alive all the way up to the war except obito being final villain and Naruto just being like a plot undertone of Obitos will being carried into the new generation even though he failed. nay or yay? or another character besides sasuke?

I think the Kakashi/Itachi dynamic would have been more interesting then Naruto and Sasuke. Not that I have anything against those 2 but eh....

Not everyone worships Sasuke dude. Just because you like everything Sasuke doesn't make you right or me right for that matter. These are just opinions and Kakashi is my #1 Favorite character so it goes without saying that I'd rather seem him and his story over Sasuke's.
