On February 6, 2014 fans will be treated to a brand new Kakashi anime special on Naruto Shippuden titled Kakashi ANBU Chapter ~The Shinobi Who Lives in the Shadows. The news comes from the second issue of 2014′s Shonen Jump magazine which shows Kakashi Hatake, Hiruzen Sarutobi, Minato Namikaze, Yamato, and Itachi Uchiha.The Naruto Shippuden ANBU Kakashi Special will dive deeper into the past of Kakashi, a man who has copied over a thousand ninja techniques

To me this spells bad news for the son of the White Fang

Kakashi will most likely pass away soon, for some reason this seems like a foreshadow to me

and of all the characters i reckon it would make sense

Will he manage to take the Sharingan off Obito, and unlock the eyes ''Full Potential'', albeit for a moment , produce an EPIC jutsu then die?

What if I say, Madara attacks Obito with his arm (without a chidori ) and then Kakashi steps in. Obito shocks, Kakashi about to die, Madara, no expression and then further pierces Obito passing through Kakashi.
That would be like killing two birds in one stone.

I'd not want to see kakashi die. He should be the shinobi to live the longest life in konoha and he shall tell the story of naruto and other teams to children at his old age. LOL

But that's how the story progressed

Hiruzen died, Itachi's entry because of which Sasuke started to walk his path towards his revenge and hence mastering the Curse Mark. On the other hand, Naruto's will strengthened and lead to Naruto vs Sasuke (Part 1)
Jiraiya died leading Naruto to learn Sage Mode
Itachi died leading Sasuke to awaken MS
Minato and Kushina died leading the sealing of Kyuubi in Naruto and thus taming the Kyuubi.
