I think I can explain that picture. Kakashi realized that he had the Mangekyo sharingan days after that incident with Rin, and went to see a Uchiha elder to ask about it. He told him what it was and he trained him to use it's special ability in secret. He soon realized he could warp things, so he would warp his food to the other dimension then unwarp it inside his mouth. Their surprised and blushing responses are from a genjutsu he put on them so they wouldn't tell anyone about his secret.

I know this theory has holes, but I haven't seen anyone else try to explain it. XD
