Just as it was obvious back when the manga was downplaying Kakashi (in the form of Sasuke's arrogance, Kakashi's doubts about himself, etc) that Kakashi will get a major power-up, it's same story now:
-Kakashi has doubts about himself (he told Obito saddened "It's me who should be saying that")
-Obito asked him to be the next Hokage
-No cliche shonen manga ever will leave main characters without any power, especially if said character has some low self-esteem

My guesses: either Kakashi has his DMS restored (with the help of Rikudo), or he has his original single MS restored, or he gets another major power-up that makes him just as powerful.

It was never Kakashi's to begin with, he's not a Uchiha and was given that power by Obito but he lost it. It was never his really so why would he gain something that doesn't really belong to him? He will train and develop his own skills is all he can do. No need for the Sage to give out powers when the threat is gone.

That's weird. Why would Naruto train Kurama, Sasuke train Itachi's eyes, Nagato with that Rinnegan, Madara with that Hashirama DNA, Obito with that Rinnegan, Kabuto with all that DNA, and many others.

I don't feel Kakashi needs a direct sharingan powerup anymore unless there is one more villain left. I want him to become a complete badass without it just like Sakumo. He is already one of the best leaders and tacticians in the entire NV, combined with his personality and experience he will make a great hokage if he is indeed the successor to Tsunade.

Not only is he a genius but he is experienced with a huge variety of jutsu (hyped to know 1000). I rather see Kakashi come up with a new fighting style if there is a part 3. He may also learn ftg as that other op technique will need a successor now that edo minato is gone

This is his chance to utilize some of the White Fang's jutsus, and some half-assed reason can be used to explain why he was never able to use them before. Like... the Sharingan took too much of a toll on him since he wasn't an Uchiha, so by not having the Sharingan he's actually physically more capable and able to use Sakumo's jutsus.
