[Discussion] Kakashi will give Naruto the Gedo Arm

This wasn't my idea it was someone else' idea. But they never did make a proper thread so I thought I should post the idea anyway. So all credit goes to them.

More or less the idea is that the only way to survive an extraction is to have the Gedo or maybe a part of it inside you as its life force would maintain the Jinchuriki after forced extraction.

Kushina had ample opportunity to reseal the Kyuubi inside herself. She even said that it was a possible course of action. However she said she would die anyway with it resealed. So from this comment we can assume that resealing Kurama will not save Naruto its the act of forced extraction that kills the Jinchuriki NOT the absence of the Biju Chakra.

Hence I believe as someone else hypothesized that the ONLY possible way to save Naruto is for Kakashi to warp the arm of the Gedo back and then for Minato to seal it within Naruto. That's where Garaa is going and that was Kurama's plan.

When he saw the missing arm of the Gedo he realized that the only person capable of interceding in Kamui was Kakashi. He also likely knew that the only way to survive a Biju extraction was to have the gedo inside yourself which Kurama likely witnessed when the Sage survived the Biju extraction in the same manner.

Hence Kurama is gambling that only the arm of the Gedo is enough for Naruto to survive.

I agree, it's very likely that Naruto will receive that arm. And once he gets some chakra from all 9 Bijuu, wouldn't it be wild if that arm allowed them to combine within him? I mean, it's essentially the Juubi's body, and might be able to transform... Just as only a piece of the Bijuu is sufficient, maybe the opposite is true.

What helps is that minato and kakashi are together. The sealer and kamui

oor minato seals other half of kurama And kakashi defends em with kamui.

I think you mean me.. and yes kishi doesn't cut its arm of without reason.. if he didn't have a purpose for the arm he would've left gedou mazou intact for the purpose of reviving juubi complete.

Naruto doesn't have Shukaku's chakra yet.

You just ignored Manga canon Kushina could have resealed the Kyuubi inside her after Naruto's birth but she said she would have died anyway.

Minato giving the Yin chakra of the Kyuubi to Naruto won't solve anything. If Kushina a full blooded Uzumaki who managed to stay conscious after having the complete Kyuubi extracted from her would have died after resealing then we know for sure that Naruto would also.

Not two chapters before this we learn from Obito and zetsu that the reason Obito is still alive after extraction is the Gedo inside him which is the only way to survive it. The Gedo gets an arm cut off by Kakashi not a couple of chapters later Kishi wouldn't do that for no good reason.

I agree with both of you. I actually posted the same idea on another forum a while back, but I'll go through a more advanced version of the argument here.

First, lets go through the part about the arm itself.

Now we know unequivocally that sealing the Gedo Mazo in yourself allows you to survive extraction due to its life force.

we also know that Kishi very conveniently allowed Kakashi to make available a piece of the Gedo Mazo for someone else to use.

As said before we also know that Kushina would still die if Kurama was resealed insider her after its extraction.

Of course it is the case that Naruto will not die after this extraction. This is even more true given that Kurama came up with a plan along with Gaara to save him. I therefore find it hard to believe that Kishi would come up with an single avenue by which Naruto could survive his extraction, within 5 chapters of his extraction, and not use it.


However, I also believe with the Pseudo Juubi argument. It has been foreshadowed again and again that Naruto would contain at least a portion of the combined power of the Bijuu.

Also Naruto now has a way to get the piece of the 8 tails that he is missing through Gyuuki's tentacle, and a piece of Shukaku through Gaara.

Well how to these two things link with one another? To me it seems obvious. If we take a look at the panel below we see that only a piece of each of the bijuu is needed to allow the Juubi to revive and regain it's full power.

Therefore I think that sealing the Gedo Mazo arm inside Naruto will allow him to survive his extraction, and having that Mazo piece will allow all of the piece of Bijuu chakra inside Naruto, along with the full chakra of yin Kurama will allow him to create a powerful pseudo Juubi that resembles Kurama more than the other bijuu.

well Kushina was also 100% uzumaki. She also had the entire Kyuubi sealed inside of her too. Naruto had only half of it

Sasuke is synched with the Juubi not Naruto. Naruto will likely be saved another way this scenario is more likely to play out with Sasuke. Also, it would be interesting to see Yang Kurama paired off against Yin Kurama for a final fight. So if we see Minato and Kakashi warp to Sasuke we may see some interesting stuff story wise.
