First of all, when i say "play with Kakuzu", you must know that i'm not saying he would have beaten him for sure(since we never know), but only that he didn't wanted to fight all out and this is the proof.
He says here:

Like he says, he "didn't needed". That means that from his point of view, all the time, he wasn't enough in danger to need to use his jutsu.

From your point of view, what does that mean?? I think it means that "he wanted to beat Kakuzu without using Kamui" but that doesn't mean he couldn't have use it.

After that he says: "Although if you hadn't shown up when you did, i would have had to" That implies that at that moment in particularly, he was in danger and so at that moment he would have release his jutsu.

And just after that, he says: "and i'd be in bed right now"[/U]. When he says, he would be in bed, it implies that he knew already that if he had release Kamui at that moment, it would have defeated Kakuzu. Now i'm not saying it would have happen the way he thinks since we never know what happen in battle, but that implies at least that the match wasn't over at that moment, and that from his point of view, he would have win.

He said that because Naruto, Yamato and crew showed up. He stated quite specifically he would have needed to use it if they didn't show up. You're taking what he said completely wrong.

You're saying what i'm saying also. I didn't said he wouldn't have use kamui. In the contrary, i've said he would have use it. But what i'm saying is that "when he says he didn't needed to before that moment, it's as if he want us to understand that "he didn't wanted to use kamui before, cuz he wanted to win without it", but at the moment you're talking about, yes, he was forced to release it.

Like Vegeta have said, Kamui is a jutsu kakashi can't use very often, especially at that moment in the manga, since one kamui and he could already be exhausted. That's why he won't try to use it if he can beat someone without it. That's why against someone, he will always try his best without using kamui unless he is forced to use it, and that's what happened against Kakuzu

I got to agree with you on this. Kakashi was getting attacked by both Hidan and Kakazu in battle. At the same protecting Team 10 from Kakazu himself. I think he would of won with difficulty.

Kakashi even covers the point your making. He didn't want to use kamui, not because of the whole "he wants to beat Kakuzu without it". He didn't want to wind up in the hospital after the fight.

Kakuzu attack cover up a large scale maybe if kakashi tryed before the attacks were launch but nope he didn't the eye can only look one direction at a time unless he had a shadow clone laid out to look two directions like this then i'd say no

Fair enough, but i think it's still the same. You say it yourself. He doesn't want to go in the hospital. Not wanting to go to the hospital means he doesn't want that his body suffers much, right? So knowing that if he uses kamui, even if he wins, he will lay on bed after, makes him using that only when he has no options left, and it's what i'm trying to say also. So i agree with you somehow

Underrated? Ofc no. I'm not underrating Kakuzu at all. It's kakashi the one who is seriously underrated here. Look again, i'm not saying Kakuzu would not have win.
