Kakashi wins. Kamui counters everything in Itachi's arsenal when Itachi has no counters for Kamui. Kakashi can warp multiple targets in one blow like latest chapter demonstrated(warped Sakura, Gaara's sand and Naruto with one kamui) so even the clone usage would barely be helpful.
He also has no apparent drawbacks at the moment(he used 3consecutive Kamuis past chapter without struggling at all), when each MS usage cost Itachi a lot and terribly depletes his stamina and body movements to the point he can barely dodge katons

Nah Bogard. Kamui still puts a strain on Kakashi's body. Where was Itachi shown to struggle after one MS technique, when he used Tsukuyomi, endured it being broken and created enough flames with Amaterasu to set on fire half of the forest surrounding the Uchiha palace's roof before he showed drawbacks. Itachi is quick to act and has his counters for Kamui, whether feints or crows, which he can immediately send in Kakashi's direction to block his sight - the necessary factor for Kamui.
Kakashi has no counter for Amaterasu. Kamui can't simply warp the flames away of the body. Obito obviously used Izanagi to do this, for obvious reasons (while you have no proof of Kamui being able to accomplish this).

As for the drawback, i just noticed there was no "panting" anymore when Kakashi were using Kamui in past chapters:

There is no problem in forming 3 handseals with a decent speed.
I see certain statements which let assume that he used Izanagi. Itachi obviously knew Obito's power (Kamui), yet prepared Amaterasu to kill him. Obito particularized, that he could survive for the only reason, that he could hide a few secrets from Itachi (and that was not Kamui which he hide from Itachi). We saw no burn marks on Obito's shoulder when he showed himself again.
Once you are hit by the flames, they stick to your body, hence Raikage even had to cut off his arm. At self range, Obito warps away himself, and if his whole body would burn, he would warp himself away together with the flames. He couldn't simply separate the flames from his body (unless you have a scan proving the opposite).
Of course, Kakashi warped away the Amaterasu flames which burned on the trees, but at this point, he created a Kekkai at a specific point to warp a target away (as we know the procedure of Kamui at long range). But at this case, he can't just target his own body to separate the flames which stick to his whole body (also the whole back). You should also consider the pain which occurs with this attack; Obito was thrown off of his feet and screamed of pain. There is no reason Kakashi would be more resistant to it.
Pay more attention to their other techniques, apart of the MS. As Kakashi can use clones, Itachi can use clones (crow clones take even less Chakra). Itachi is fast, makes use of feints and can use crows, which are a perfect counter for techniques which require targeting an object. And Itachi possesses Tsukuyomi, which can only be broken by Uchiha - at this point 2 MS techniques which are hard to counter, while Kakashi has only one.

Could either way, both are spectacular ninja. I truly believe kakashi has completely closed the gap between the two, they're now equals.

All of Itachi's Sharingan Genjutsu will have no effect on Kakashi countered Obito's Genjutsu who is arguably better than Itachi's. Any of Itachi's Katon will be washed off by Suiton. Amatersu can be countered by Kakashi seeing the build up pressure through his Sharingan and counters it with Doton wall. Susanoo is wrapped by Kamui.

Ot: kamui one shots. Having Intel doesn't mean you can counter or stop it. Just look at how it trolled juubi jin sm madara.
Itachi wins decisively. Kamui warping flames on the body is fanfiction, given as how Obito emerged undamaged from the darkness when his clothes should have been burnt from the entire right-side. Tsukuymoi is also a great MS technique.
kakashi was able to warp senjutsu rasingan kicked by jiubidara after it hit him and tore his clothes
even databook said that obito countered amatrasu by going to other dimension
