Mei actually seemed to have even lower chakra than Kakashi. She can't even fight black Zetsu when she has a team by her side during one day and she gets already tired and get healed by Tsunade during the battle against Madara. Kakashi in the contrary fights 2days in continue against 7swordsmen+haku+2 other with KG, and now 5Jinchurikis along with Gai.

Kakashi will not be fast enough to dodge the cascading lava and the acidic boil mist. Mei also has incredibly strong water jutsus which were able to stop Madara's fire style. Also the hidden mist tech could block Kakashi's vision.
