We still don't know that much about Mei but her ninjutsu skills. As far as I can tell her and Kakashi are on par in that field, do to the fact she has 2 KGs while Kakashi has 1000 Jutsus.
-If they battle in an open area I don't see Mei winning b/c Boil release won't do any good and then Lava(even with its wide range) Kakashi can easily get out of the way.
--If Kakashi brings this fight to close quarters he should win, Sharigan helps him read movements plus he is above avg in taijutsu.

-At the same time we can assume that Mei is above avg in taijutsu as well b/c she is a Kage after all. We can guess she is above avg in every field hopefully.
-But I can see Kakashi countering all her ninjutsu b/c of his wide array of techs. Plus when it comes to thinking and fighting Kakashi is one of the best. Able to think on his feet quite easily.

In the end its a close fight between the two ninjutsu masters but I see Kakashi winning 75% of the time

Kakashi has got this because of his Jutsus,but when it comes to an enclosed battle field,Mei win.One her mist,she can easily melt Kakashi,as she did to Sasuke's Susano'o but on an open battle field Kakashi win,he can easily suck Mizukage to another plain:scorps:

The 2kgs dont even matter! The mist one only is done in a closed space!! While the lava is easy to dodge! She got nothing else while kakashi has sharingan, genjutsu, taijutsu and ninjutsu plus he is smart and fast!!!

No, I can. Everything i've said is based on the manga, not some fanfic logic people come up with.

Based on feats and hype Kakashi wins. Mei showing something new in the future is al speculation and shouldn't be used in a battledome thread like this.

I say Mei. She can use Hidden Mist Technique and Mix her boil release with it meaning if Kakashi could be melted.
They both have Earth Release and she can layer the ground with Lava to stop any sneak attacks. She can use katon
and the both can use suiton, her suiton seems much stronger.
And he can use raiton.
I give this to Mei. Her skill with elements has seen more impressive particularly her skill with Water dragon jutsu is far superior than his.
