i don't think Konohamaru can beat Kakashi of season 1. He is far behind him.

The only feat Konohamaru has in the movie is him being capable of creating a normal sized Rasengan.

Outside of that he didn't really show much, in fact it wasn't pretty at all ... sadly. You'll know what I mean later.

I think part 1 characters are underrated. Part 1 Kakashi was still far above most jonnin of konoha.
