I'm confused. What fanfic? The op said nothing about character or not. That is undeniable.
He doesn't even need kamui to beat deadara or dodge any bomb c2 or lower. It's only for sasori's heart.

And in your original post all you did was list the Times he used it paying no attention to circumstance. He could:
A) Make the barrier big enough to take in both of them
B) hit them in rapid succession like the susanno arrows
C) pick of sasori since deidara still has to prep his bombs.
