Kakashi using Kumui without sight....

Whether the translation is wrong or not I don't think losing your eyesight affects the power of the MS. I think the power of the Sharigan is a power originating in the optic nerve and MANIFESTED through the eye. If the eye does not work (as far as eye sight) the power does not dissipate. It simply cannot be aimed. . Which is why Madara could use Sasanoo without eyes because the power is in the optic nerve and Sasanoo is primarily used for defense. Kakashi is simply aiming with his right eye. I am talking about MS abililities that do not have Tomei. It explains why the EMS is so powerful. BEcause the two Uchiha are now sharing power. The eyes of Itachi were damn near blind when given to Sasuke. And Madara was blind when given Izuna eyes according to legend.

Hell at least you have a decent theory as to why Madara was able to use Susanoo without an eye. Kishi just kind of left us hanging there with not even a slight commentary about it XD

He should get a new dojutsu eye ... Plane eyes r boring for such a good character n kiiling him in war is like killing naruto story ... Rinne or obitos eyes can be useful ..coz obito does not have to aim .... Op kakashi

I kind of agree.... even thinking that is such a lame that no Uchiha thought about it before.
Like stealing normal eyes and using only one sharingan each time (in case they loose it on a battle)

But ok... they are too full of themselves, and the MS were very rare (EMS even more) so they did not have enough lessons learned on it...

Thanks for correcting my spelling....

I started the thread saying "whether the translation is wrong or not..." So either he is blind or he can see. My point was that the power of MS originated from the brain to the optic nerve and then Manifested through the eyes. The power does not disappear when one loses his eye sight. If the power was from eye sight then one could speculate that the power is only as strong as the eye sight which we know is not true.

Glaucoma -- increased pressure in the eye, which is most often painless. Vision will be normal at first, but over time you can develop poor night vision, blind spots, and loss of vision to either side. Uchiha are members of the Leaf Village for this reason.Hahahaha

Obito is a better example. He doesn't have to see you for his MS to work. It just does. It's always activated. You can't sneak up behind him.

he's not completely blind *********** was full of errors this chapter..
when they get blind the sharingan is gone and the eye turns white.
From Narutopedia on the MS-. Use of the dōjutsu gradually deteriorates the user's eyesight to the point of blindness, a harsh fate for those that have grown accustomed to the power and visual acuity it affords.[6. It does not say one loses his power. The MS is equivalent to Super Sayian 1,2,3,4. Once you feel the pain and that darkness is released you cant forget it.That is why i beleive that the 3 powers of MS are from the optic nerve and Manifested through he eyes.
