Everyone is making kakashi threads so i'll make one too.
Too often when discussing kakashi its all just kumui this and kumui that and its understandable its OP as hell and its his strongest jutsu
Now if you look at kakashi he was already an extremely skilled ninja who could at least compete with any other ninja whether he won or lost and he didnt even have kumui nor his stamina boost at this time. Even more to his handicap is that in most of his fights he doesnt know anything about his opponents and is always finding out their abilities so that the vulture(ahem "hero" can come and fight.) He practically fought Hidan and Kakuzu at the same time for most of the fight and wasted chakra protecting team 10. So let me get this straight....he was able to compete against two strong almost immortal akatski members without ever using kumui. He also had little intel on them. Yea thats pretty good if you ask me.
Next he fought Two of the Pains (The main one and ugly one. LOL) with no intel. He didnt know of their abilities and but he figured them out to help the "heroes" who would come after him after he did all the dirty work.
As you can see kakashi is usually doing the dirty work. Fighting enemies without intel. Learning their abilities and helping the others look good. Most of the time he has done this without kumui so he is not just a one technique kind of guy (Naruto JKJK).
Now his top intelligence feat to me is figuring out Obito's abillites. Granted they have the same abilities but in the heat of the battle to fit all of those puzzles together and figure out how to touch him was pretty good.For the longest Naruto fans wondered how on Earth could anyone even touch (Obito whom we thought was Madara) and eventually thanks to kakashi they figure it out and actually do some damage. In naruto as I tried to explain a long time ago is not just about who is the strongest. There are matchups like in rock paper scissors. Kakashi's character is built to elemenate most weaknesses though he can have problems with certain enemies, but overall kakashi is built one of the most well rounded characters and I think those types of characters are the strongest since they have the fewest weaknesses. Now look at his arsenal/feats
Kakashi was capable of fighting two akatskis without kumui
Copies 1000 jutsu I know at least half of them can be useful
Raikiri-one of the strongest and most feared lightning jutsu's
Strategist-One of the better ninjas at planning attacks as seen vs Edo Seven swordsman KG users
Intelligence-Often fights enemy head on without intel and usually discovers enemy secrets or specialties
Huge stamina boost (how long has he been fighting? With sharingan active?)-(This was one of his weaknesses but as of late this is all but gone)
Taijutsu-Underrated speed and strength-plus he can use (1-2) of the eight gates. He can fight at all ranges
Genjutsu-He is capable of using effective genjutsu
Kenjutsu-briefly used Zabuza's blade
Medical ninjutsu-healed himself in kumui dimesn-who am i kidding that was a joke. LOL, dont pay attention to that. Haha
He can use a variety of ninja tools
Sharingan user-great at using sharingan during fights. Reading movements striking with precision
Emotionally balanced-I say this because sometimes getting to emotional gets you f***** in battle. ahem Sakura.
Finally MS(The one you have been waiting for)-Yes kumui. He has increased every aspect in using this jutsu. He hardly misses now. He uses it at breathtaking speed warping things such as small projectiles, Sasuke's Enton arrow, end even so fast that even Obito's sharingan/rinnegan missed it when he had used it on Naruto to avoid Obito's attack. He can warp very large areas now, gedo head/arms, Juubi head, and now he can use this a greater number of times.) Kumui given to any ninja would make them probably top ten contention as it is almost autokill whether we like it or not and the simple fact is alot of people cant counter it. This includes some of the people you view as "god level". Looking at kakashi he was great before kumui and now he is even better. He has steadily improved to be a dangerous fighter in all areas but people cant stand or accept this for some reason.
If I have to fight an unknown enemy more than likely I would choose kakashi as my partner because of his well rounded adaptness. Thats why I think he deserves top 5 contention.(Not including Juubito and Godara(Sage Madara) or edos of any kind)
