L0l i agree with all of these. People with super haxxed techs shouldn't be able to use clones but Kakashi made about 100 clones when he was fight Zabuza imagine 100 Kamui snipes.

The realistic answer is plot.

Just a thought, it'd be tons easier for him to do it if he was a jinchuuriki... but even then, I'm guessing he could only pull off 7 or 8 in a prolonged battle. He's not like Obito where he can just use it willy-nilly.

Possibly infeasible, as Itachi's Shoten clone was unable to utilize Mangekyo techniques. It shouldn't be an issue of chakra with War-Arc feats, but rather a clone unable to use Mangekyo properly (to the extent the original user can).

Shadow Clones divide your Chakra evenly so if even one Kamui is taxing, then how much more with half or a third of the chakra. I was just watching the pain fight where he made a lightning based chakra that took up to half his reserves in one go.

Plus its only been helpful to fend off fodder or for escaping and set-up. As a primary weapon, kinda lack luster at this point.
