You can't gain the EMS simply by having both Sharingan....you need you brother's eyes or a family member to gain the EMS. Kakashi and Obito aren't even a family member let alone brothers.

Yeah .. I know that thats why I said ''if its possible'' .. I personally don't think it is because as you stated, it has to be a brothers/relative.. But also as far as we know Not one single uchiha tried one of his Eyes on the other of his eyes right ?
that would be insane if u know what I mean, cuz you only got 1 eye left then.. But for Kakashi it might actually work?

made a thread abut that the other day its impossible cause there the same pair of eyes well it may be possilbe if kishi Fu*ks Logic....

In the thread I clearly typed that by now he should be able to turn on and off his sharingan with everything that has gone down in the war. If u haven't read it I won't spoil it, but yeah he should be able to do it without a problem. Also I do get that he needs to be an Uchiha but how does covering it keep it from draining the chakra it's still activated all the time

He's not a uchiha so he can't turn it off just like pain always had rinnegan. And the head band covering it helps because the sharigan reads chakra by site. So covering it not being able to see doesn't use chakra. Now if it was the byugan(spelled wrong) it wouldn't matter because it sees through objects.
