KAKASHI/OBITO age clarification ..............

i know many people already know that but to be confirmed i checked the sources
and did my calculation

obito is 4 year older than kakashi


many people already know but here are my calculation for the people who are still in doubt

academy grad age= 9
chunin exam age = 11
sharingan activation=13 (the day he got crushed by rocks)

chunin exam age = 6

they appeared in the chunin exam together and they were in the same team (

that suggests the age difference is 4 years (obito 9 - kakashi 5)
one year later they appeared at chunin exam (obito 10 kakashi 6) .. obito failed that year(

this exactly why people are confused, cuz they think kakashi was 13 when he became jounin, while the math is very simple,

kakashi was not 13 when he became a jounin , actually he was 9

also he was 6-7 yr at chunin is a manga fact

kakashi was a prodigy, he competed with the guy older than him (just like itachi)

he was 6 when he became chounin

Which means Obito was around 17-18 when he attacked Konoha. And Kakashi around 13-14. If Obito is 4 years older than Kakashi, and Kakashi is 30 at the moment, Obito is most likely 34 now. The Kyuubi attack was 16 years ago. 34 - 16 = 18 years old.

Kakashi is 30 now, Obito was 13 during Kakashi Gaiden..which was when Kakashi became a jounin, which was when he was about 13, so I don't see how Obito could be 4 years older. No way Kakashi was 11 when Obito attacked, he became chunin at like 6 but didn't become a jounin until he was about 12 or 13. They are roughly the same age.

This again? But you are wrong. These calculation have been redone several times, and since manga > databook, it just proves, that Kishi changed this a little, nothing else. The age in the databook is wrong.

The chapter labelled Obito Uchiha shows a flashback, where Kakashi becomes chunin, and Obito fails. Then we see Obito spending one year to become chunin. Kishi illustrates this by showing the different seasons in Japan, where he shows snow indicating winter, and the sakura leafs, which indicates spring.

Also we are certain that Kakashi became a Jonin at age 13. We are also certain that Obito became chunin same year. This alone is proved in the chapter "Obito Uchiha", just go and read it if you doubt me. Anyway according to databook, Obito became chunin at age 11, but this makes Kakashi older than Obito, which we know is not true, because the databook is simply wrong. Kishi changed it, and we will certainly see this corrected in the next databook.

Then lets look closer at it. Kakashi becomes Jonin at age 13, manga shows he became chunin 1 year before this, because as I already mentioned, Kishi illustrated the different seasons in Japan for that sole purpose. It's so damn obvious, lol
Anyway this clearly puts them at the same age, as you stated Obito awoke sharingan at age 13.

We know the mission, where Obito awakened sharingan, was the same as the one, where Kakashi had just been promoted to jonin, and with all the above, we can conclude the following:

Kakashi chunin age 12
Kakashi jonin age 13
Obito chunin age 13

Academy is irrelevant, but since they are same team, they entered at same time, etc. it's not stupid to assume they graduated academy together.

Finally u state Obito was with madara 6-10 months. This is doubtful, despite the extreme hair growth, we see a Kakashi piercing Rin's chest with the exact same clothes, as when Obito fell under the rock. He misses armbands or something, but rest is alike. Same scratches in the clothes, etc. This suggests, Kakashi hasn't even been back in Konoha since, which would shorten the period severely. The hair growth may be explained by the Hashirama cells, which seems likely.
Also it was raining as far as I recall, when Kakashi killed Rin, in other words, it could not have been winter. The time Obito got inside Madara's cave was certainly spring, as I already said about the sakura leafs. So it is less than 6 months he spent in the cave. At max 5 months.

Kakashi and Obito are same age ... Obito was 15 when he attacked Konoha and was 2 years trained by Madara. Curently they are both 30. Kakashi was a genius and thus became Jounin at such a young age but Obito and Rin weren't genius at all (at the time) just like with Neji, Rock Lee and Tenten (Neji became Jounin and the other 2 didn't).

I read where you say Obito is four years older, which is a definite no, and I think everyone knows that. Obito attacked Konoha when Naruto was born, and if Kakashi is 30 now, he must have been 14 when Konoha was attacked, and we know obito was 13 in Kakashi Gaiden, i don't see where you get any proof obito has four years on him. Obito has at most one, maybe two years. It's pretty safe to assume it is only one
