The false Kisame was fully coated in fire after the attack. It wasn't until he hit the water that the flames were actually extinguished.

Oh .. but no... Flames have no affect on Kakuzu .. with your logic his hand should of melted from a paper bomb if hes so susceptable to flames ..besides the attack woul cease after one punch, gai's hand would be broken

I don't specifically recall Kakuzu possessing a feat that negates fire. Anyways the initial kick connects before Kakuzu even has a chance to react, let alone activate a jutsu.

So the jutsu activates own it's own? Or will it scale with Kakuzu's reaction time?
