Plus, Kakashi was literally staring at obito the entire length of the last couple chapters. He did not need to pinpoint the GM, he was staring at it the whole time.

Ok, agreed. I didnt notice it was summoned after extraction my first read through. But still, he had aimed at the GM's face, and got his arm. Past the shoulder. If he was sooo good with kamui, he wouldn't suck at it. which he does.

Madara summoned the Heretical Demon Statue, but the statue needed to be extracted from Obito first. This is a several second process which gave Kakashi ample time to use his slow-ass Kamui. Even when he had already pin-pointed the statue it could still avoid damage to the head and shift it to the arm. Though I will assume reasoning is beyond some people.
