[Predictions] Kakashi is going to die

It's very likely that Obito is going to kill Kakashi. It's as simple as this: If Kakashi defeats Obito he'll be able to use kamui on the Juubi. I don't think the Juubi is going to be taken down that easily. Given Obito's reluctance to let Kakashi use kamui on the juubi in 628, it would probably work. Obito had to wait until to now to engage Kakashi anyway. The juubi was too vulnerable and needed protection from the ninja alliance while it was transforming and charging up. Engaging kakashi directly on the battleground for any length of time would have been too risky with all of the backup around.

We're going to see Obito get serious now and he's probably got something up his sleeve. It'll be a dramatic death. Obito will appear in front of Naruto and toss Kakashi's dead body in front of him like trash.

Damn that would be badass and then when can have Obito killed by Naruto, Couldn't think of a better ending for both Kakashi and Obito

No, Kakashi isn't going to die. He would probably fainted after defeating obito and won't be able to join for the rest of the battle.

On one hand, I do think he will die for those reasons and because I remember Kishi saying once that two important characters will die in this Arc, one being Neji and the other being Kakashi unless Kishi means Tsunade, but on the other hand, the fact that Kakashi has not yet explained why he killed Rin may mean that he will tell Obito and thus TNJ him. I hope this isn't the case but you never know.

I think Kakashi is going to die for the very same reason, but I think he does something that weakens Obito before he dies.

it would be an awesome twist if obito tnj kakashi it joining his side and then it's 3 vs the entire world. At least we finally have a different outcome then we have been seeing in every fight. "oh naruto your right im wrong i entrust everything to you" that ending has become pretty lame

I would be pretty unhappy if Kakashi dies, but I have a feeling he is going to. I don't think Kishimoto is afraid of killing off any of the main characters like many people believe he is. He's already killed Shikaku, Inoichi, Neji, and all 5 kage are near death right now.

We don't know whether the Kage will survive or not, from what we've seen it seems Tsunade will still be able to save some of them. I personally don't think they will all survive. I can't imagine Tsunade still has enough chakra to heal 4 people near death and herself, who has been completely torn in half.

I think both Mei and Gaara will be saved, but those are the only 2 I'm pretty sure of. Oonoki is very old and would be most willing to be the one to die if one of them cannot be saved, and Tsunade is messed up really bad and is still trying to heal the others...not sure if she'll make it.

Either way, those are all relatively big characters killed. While they may not be as important to the storyline as Kakashi, who has been a main character from the beginning, they were still quite pertinent to the storyline. Of the most important characters in the series, Kakashi is the most likely to die IMO.

Yeah, while I like Kakashi as a character I think he needs to go. Not just for the war's sake but because it would be a huge amount of development for other characters.

This. There are many holes in the story we've seen so far, and Kakashi is going to fill them in.

The biggest possible twist that Kakashi could reveal is that Rin isn't dead. Kakashi killed some kind of elaborate clone to hide the real Rin (who has some kind of strategic significance). That's my prediction, anyway.

What does them having a last name have to do with anything?

Since the war has started, Shikaku Nara, Inoichi Yamanaka, and Neji Hyuuga have all died...so your wrong on that, not that them having a last name matters. We still don't know Orochimaru's last name and he's been a big character from the start. It doesn't really make a difference.

Basically team Kakashi are the biggest characters in the show (including Sasuke) just because one of them havent died yet, doesn't mean one of them wont be killed off. Obviously they aren't dead yet as their roles in the story are not complete. Among them, any one of them can die. I find it less likely the younger ones will die than Kakashi though.
