I was rewatching the ninetails attack part in the anime, and then watching kakashi's attire i remembered he was an anbu at the time and also he was supposed to be the bodyguard of kushina(of course this was only shown in a filler arc but yet this is the most logical filler arc out of all fillers we've got).
So if kakashi was an anbu in charge of looking after kushina, shouldnt kakashi have been with the other anbus inside the barrier? After all kakashi was considered as one of the best ninjas even amongs the anbu blackups.
The other part that makes little sense is that if kakashi was an anbu, the moment when the nine tails was summoned inside the village, he should have gone to see lord hiruzen as the other anbu blackups did.
