Part One
Childhood
My name is, Kakashi Hatake, I am the son of the late, Sakumo Hatake, also known as “The White Fang of Konoha”, and my mother died when I was very young. Ever since I was a little boy I have been regarded as the best of my generation and an extremely gifted prodigy. I received top marks and showed an innate aptitude for the ninja arts while I was in the academy, and thus allowed me to graduate from it in an single year at five years old, and then a year later I became a chunnin
Although despite my great successes…my father fell into disgrace after opting to save his comrades rather than complete an important mission that caused Konoha to suffer in our war effort. With him being dishonored he fell into a deep depression and eventually took his own life…when I saw him laying dead…I decided to live my life strictly by the ninja code.
Gaiden
A few years later, when I was thirteen years old, I became a Jounin myself and was teamed with Obito Uchiha, Rin while under the leadership of our sensei, Minato. Upon all of us finally meeting up…with Obito as late as usual. We finally set off on our mission and when we got close to the borders of the Land of Grass and Fire, Minato told me that I was too lead Obito and Rin on a mission that benefited Konoha in the Third Shinobi World War.
The mission was to destroy the Kannabi Bridge, which was the main supply route of the Iwagakure forces that were heading into Kusagakure. Which happened to be the first huge offensive move in the war for Konoha. On our way to the bridge two of Iwagakure’s scouting shinobi, Kakkou and Taiseki kidnapped Rin. Obito opted for us to give chase and save her, but I disagreed with his plan believing that our mission was of much more importance, opting to go a different route than what my father took, and not make his mistake.
Enraged with what I told him Obito left to save Rin on his own, but before he left he left, he told me that he believed my father, the White Fang, was a true hero for the actions he took and left. After reflecting on what Obito had just said to me, and how kind Rin was, I realized that the path my father took wasn’t the wrong path at all but was the right choice…after which I promptly rejoined Obito in the efforts to save Rin.
I had arrived just in time saving Obito from an attack by Taiseki, using my father’s blade to fight him with Obito…but despite the 2-on-1 advantage the two of us had. Taiseki managed to damage my left eye because I took the attack for Obito that gave me a permanent scar.
Due to the sheer terror Obito was going threw and his desire to protect Konoha he finally awakened his clan’s Kekkei Genkai, the Sharingan. Which allowed him to see threw Taiseki’s camouflage technique and kill him, which allowed us to continue after Rin. When we located Rin and Kakkou, the two of us teamed up and defeated Kakkou and pushed him away which gave us a chance to save Rin, but just when my team and I were about to leave, Kakkou used a technique which caused a massive cave in. While we were escaping I was knocked to the ground by a falling rock hitting my blind spot. Obito noticed immediately and ran back over too me and threw me out of the way as he was crushed beneath a falling boulder. Knowing that he was going to die anyways, Obito ordered Rin to implant his left Sharingan into my damaged eye. Complying with Obito’s last wishes she did so and I gave chase after Kakkou. When I finally met back up with him I used the Sharingan and my Chidori to kill him for what he had done. After killing our attacker I ran back to Obito and Rin in hopes of being able to save Obito but the place was falling apart and was too unstable I grabbed Rin’s hand and pulled her out of harms way as Obito was crushed by the rest of the debris. Upon us leaving and heading for the bridge we were encountered by a group of Iwagakure’s shinobi who had heard the chaos that was going on and when I went to fight back I blacked out and woke up during the night too see Minato there…he was told what all had happened and apologized that he was not there to help us. In the morning we completed our mission in destroying the bridge.
The Beginning
A few years later I had become a Jounin-Sensei, and have gained a reputation throughout the Academy as for having exceedingly high standards for who I would train, and failing every potential genin team that took the survival exam that I proctored. When I was given the next potential Team 7, which consisted of Sasuke Uchiha, Sakura Haruno, and Naruto Uzumaki. I gave them the bell test, that required the three of them to try and at least acquire one bell that I kept on my waist. With only two bells and three of them, they believed it was some sort of competition against each other and worked independently in the attempt to take the bells. Each one of them attempted their own ways of acquiring a bell, only for me to easily defeat them each time. After they all failed to get the bells from me I quickly expressed how displeased I was their performances. After I had belittled each of them and their performances I revealed to them the true goal of the test was Teamwork. After I had explained the importance of teamwork to them, and seeing how ashamed they were at their performances, I decided to give them one more chance to act as a team, and I let them take a break for lunch. However, Naruto, had earlier tried to steal their lunches, was forbidden to eat. Though Sasuke and Sakura decided that they were going to need Naruto in peak condition gave him their food anyways. I noticed this act and immediately confronted them, feigning that I was angry with them for disobeying my orders, before I passed them for demonstrating teamwork. As the newly formed team explained that they needed to work as a team first before anything else, I then congratulated them on being the first team to have passed under me after revealing to them the true objective of the test was to show teamwork and loyalty to their team-mates.
Land of Waves
After my team had completed several easy D-Rank missions, at Naruto’s insistence we were assigned a somewhat more difficult C-Rank mission, that was an escort mission, to escort the bridge-builder, Tazuna, to the Land of Waves. While en route to the site we were attacked by the Demon Brothers, though I easily defeated them, I realized that there was more to this mission than a simple escort, and convinced Tazuna to tell us the truth, that the Land of Waves was under tyranny of Gatou. He hoped that the bridge would be able to free the country, and thus garnered Gatou’s assassination attempts. Even though the mission was far greater of a danger than what was originally assigned…now making it an A-Rank to the Genin and B-Rank to me, we agreed to act as his bodyguard until the bridge was completed.
Upon arriving in the Land of Waves, we were attacked by one of the Legendary Seven Swordsman of the Mist, Zabuza Momochi, who was another one of Gatou’s hired assassins. With Zabuza’s superior experience with water-based techniques and my focus to protect my team-mates, thus allowed him to catch me off guard and capture me in a Water Prison technique. I tried to plead with my students to make them flee with Tazuna, but the insisted to work together and managed to free me.
Using my Sharingan, I managed to turn the tides against Zabuza and as I was about to land the killing blow a boy named Haku stepped in, and appeared to have killed Zabuza first. He then took Zabuza’s body away claiming that he was one of Kirigakure’s Hunter-Nin and would dispose of it, after which I collapsed from exhaustion of overusing my Sharingan.
After Haku took off with Zabuza’s body I realized that it may have been a trick so I quickly trained Team 7 to better control their chakra and after a weeks time they mastered it. Once I was finished training them we resumed our mission as Tazuna’s bodyguards. When we finally arrived at the bridge we were confronted by both Zabuza and Haku, thus confirmed my suspicions. When we got engaged in battle Naruto and Sasuke went up against Haku and his Kekkei Genkai of Ice, as I went up against Zabuza.
During our fight Zabuza had learned from his loss, and heavily relied on his sneak attacks through his Hidden Mist technique too keep him from falling victim to my Sharingan again. So I responded by summoning my ninken underground to seek him out and pin him down making him an easy target for my Lightning Cutter.
But just before I could kill Zabuza I was once again intercepted by Haku, who used himself as a human shield and took the blow that was intended for Zabuza and was killed in the process.
Although Zabuza was determined to win and relentlessly attacked me the battle had turned completely in my favor, as I was easily outmaneuvering him. Then Gatou and the rest of his henchmen later showed up to dispose of Zabuza due to him failing, just to have Zabuza kill Gatou. While I witnessed the event, Gatou’s henchmen in turn killed Zabuza. In my response I used the Multiple Shadow Clone and scared off the thugs. As Zabuza was dieing he asked me to take his body to Haku’s before he fully passed away. I then buried the two next to one another and returned to Konoha with my team.
Chuunin Exam & Invasion of Konoha
I felt that my students were ready for the Chuunin Exams and thus entered them, despite the initial disapproval of the other elite ninja. After Sasuke was branded by Orochimaru’s Cursed Seal of Heaven during the second phase of the exam, I took it upon myself to try and deal with the cursed seal. I was unable to remove it so I used the Evil Sealing Method to prevent its usage. After the preliminary matches I opted to take Sasuke and personally train him for a month after I realized how Orochimaru desired Sasuke from his subordinate Kabuto Yakushi attempt to abduct Sasuke. I tried reinforcing Sasuke’s self-worth and value for his friends by teaching him how to use the Chidori as a deterrent from the cursed seal. As the training involved taijutsu skills he had copied from Rock Lee it better conditioned him for his training, and thus I ran late delivering Sasuke for his final round battle against Gaara.
When Sunagakure and Otogakure’s invasion of Konoha began during Sasuke’s match, Might Guy, Sakura, and myself all released the genjutsu that was cast on us, and Guy and myself helped repel the invaders. Guy and myself made a competition out of it on who could defeat more Suna and Oto-nin although Guy usually won. When I noticed that Sasuke was going after Gaara, I sent Naruto, Sakura, Shikamaru Nara, and Pakkun to stop him and bring him back…
First encounter with Akatsuki
Shortly after we prevented the invasion, two men wearing black cloaks with red clouds infiltrated the village. One being, Itachi Uchiha, Sasuke’s older brother, and Kisame Hoshigaki, a rouge Seven Swordsman of the Mist, both of whom were members of the rogue group of S-Class criminals called, Akatsuki. Asuma and Kurenai Yuuhi tried to apprehend the two, but were nearly killed in the process, but I intervened stopping them from being killed.
I managed to hold my own against Itachi, but was eventually caught in Itachi’s Tsukuyomi. I was severally weakened by the technique but before I collapsed I confirmed the fact that they were there for Naruto and his Kyuubi inside him. With my knowledge of the two Itachi tried to have Kisame kidnap me, but luckily Guy arrived just before he could and drove the two off.
After the incident I was left in a coma and was not revived until after Tsunade had returned to the village. Immediately after recovering I was sent on a new mission.
Sasuke Retrieval
Before setting out on a mission given to me by Lady Tsunade, I stopped a battle between Sasuke and Naruto. I learned in my absence Sasuke began reverting to his obsession for power and revenge, I lectured him on misusing the Chidori, and that it was made to protect friends, not attack them. I then tried to encourage him into putting more faith into his friendships rather than revenge, I then left to hopefully allow those words to sink in. But I was unaware of the fact that, he would have little time to let those words sink in due to Orochimaru’s Sound Four.
When I returned to Konoha from my mission, I found out that Sasuke had defected to Orochimaru, and that only a squad of genin, lead by Shikamaru, had been sent out to retrieve him. I then rushed off after Sasuke and the retrieval team, completely ignoring the fact that I had a new mission to go on. With the aid of my ninken, I was able to find a defeated Naruto laying on the ground, and Sasuke nowhere to be found, making it impossible to track him down due to fresh rainfall. Due to Naruto’s injuries I carried him back to the village to recover…I was saddened that I was unable to help either one of my students. When Naruto was better he sought out Jiraiya to go training with him, as Sakura went to Tsunade for the same thing. This allowed me to be able to go and train myself…

Part 2
Kazekage Rescue & Second Encounter of Akatsuki
With my Team 7 effectively dissolved, I spent two and a half years to further enhance and refine abilities to prepare for the inevitable battle with Akatsuki. After Naruto had finally returned to the village, he gave me the latest edition of the Icha-Icha series. I later had Naruto and Sakura take the bell test again, but this time the objective being for them to actually capture both of the bells, just too see how much the two of them have improved these last two years. When they were unable to get close enough to me to each take a bell, the two of them decided to try and spoil the plot of the latest Icha-Icha series that Naruto had just given too me, thus I forced myself to close my eyes and cover my ears…allowing them to catch me off guard and get the bells.
When word of Gaara’s kidnapping had reached Konoha, My team and I were sent on a mission to rescue the Kazekage, Gaara. Upon arriving in Sunagakure, we were teamed with Lady Chiyo, after she had mistaken me for my father and tried to attack me, after she was corrected on who I was we all set off after Akatsuki’s trail.
Along the way, we encountered Itachi, and this time I was able to fight on even grounds with him, although I did realize that his performance wasn’t the same that it was when we first fought. With a well timed maneuver, I tricked and managed to restrain Itachi, giving a big enough opening for Naruto to use his Big Ball Rasengan. Although afterwards we had found out that the Itachi we had just fought was nothing more than a look-alike and a decoy. We then met up with Team Guy, who was sent as a back up team for my team, outside of the Akatsuki’s Lair. Because there was a barrier over the entrance, Team Guy set out to take down the barrier. This allowed my team to infiltrate the lair, where we found Sasori, Deidara, and Gaara. Deidara quickly flew off with Gaara’s body, as Naruto and I took off after him, leaving Sakura and Lady Chiyo to handle Sasori. 
While pursuing Deidara, I tried using my new Mangekyou Sharingan and it’s ability of Kamui, in an attempt to remove Deidara’s head, but due to lack of usage of the technique my aim was off, causing me to only severe his arm. Nevertheless, Naruto was able to rescue Gaara’s body. With Naruto successfully getting Gaara, Deidara tried to use his Suicide Bombing Clone to escape us. But I used my Kamui ability again to get rid of the explosion, saving Team Guy, who happened to be nearby. After which Lady Chiyo gave her life to revive Gaara and then returned back to Sunagakure. Because I over used Kamui, Guy prompted to carry me on his back, to the disgust of the rest of the two teams except for Lee who offered to carry Neji Hyuuga on his back. After returning to Konoha I was left bed-ridden for an entire week.
Battle against Hidan and Kakuzu
While I was recuperating, my team which was led by Yamato, was sent on a mission to try and find Sasuke. When they had returned from a failed mission, I offered to train Naruto to help him create a new technique for the next time that they encounter Sasuke. I had Naruto use the Multiple Shadow Clone technique, that reduced the time he needed to learn and master his new technique which would essentially cause him to surpass even myself.
The training I had Naruto do was to teach him to master his elemental affinity, which happened to be the Wind element, and add it to his Rasengan, a feat that neither I or my sensei, Minato, was unable to complete.
After we were informed of Asuma’s death, I opted to lead Team 10 in avenging his death, considering that Naruto’s training had advanced beyond my assistance. Before I left Naruto’s training I had Yamato finish overseeing his training, as I met up with Shikamaru, to hear about his plan of attack.

As Kakuzu laid there wondering how he had managed to lose to the likes of us, I told him that with every generation, the newest will always surpass the previous generation, and proceeded to kill him.
Invasion of Pain
After realizing the Akatsuki’s leader, Pain, original attack was a diversion, I confronted his Deva Path. I managed to save Iruke Umino from certain death, but I was quickly overpowered by Deva Path’s gravity-manipulation techniques, repelling all of my attacks. When his Asura Path arrived to aid Deva Path, I was quickly put on the defensive until Chouji and Chouza Akamicihi arrived as reinforcements. After I had figured out Deva Path’s abilities, I quickly devised a plan, and used Chouji and Chouza to help take down Deva Path. We were almost successful, but Asura Path used himself as a shield for Deva Path, which allowed him to counter and defeat all of us.
Believing all of us to be dead, Deva Path left, and when I finally came too, I had Chouji go and tell Tsunade about Deva Path’s abilities. But as Chouji was leaving a still-active Asura Path launched a missile at him. Despite knowing that I would die if I used my Mangekyou Sharingan again, I used it’s ability, Kamui, to dispose of the missile and save Chouji in the process. After using the last of my chakra with Kamui…I died…thus my soul leaving my body. As my soul left my body I lamented on how I had failed to protect Rin, and I soon found myself at a campfire where my deceased father, was sitting I then sat with him and told him my life story.
During Pain’s destruction of the village, my body was protected by one of Katsuyu’s divisions. After I had finally finished the recount of myself, I finally understood why my father had chosen to save his friends and I was now proud of what my father had done. Although our contestation was halted when a ray of light shined down upon me, due to the power of Nagato’s Samsara of Heavenly Life technique. Before he saw me depart, my father thanked me, and decided that he would finally be able to go and join my mother. I then woke up inside the Konoha Battlefield, with Chouji shocked to my revival. As I looked around I wondered what had happened since I died, and a Katsuyu division explained everything to me that occurred. After the invasion had finally came to an end, I quickly went to were Naruto was, and brought him back to a massive welcoming party at Konoha. Upon arriving, I complimented Naruto for finally achieving his goal as being accepted and appreciated by the entire village.
The Five Kage Summit & Confining the Jinchuuriki
When Konoha heard about what Sasuke did in the Land of Lightning, Naruto came to Yamato and myself to take us to the Land of Iron, so that he can ask the Fourth Raikage, A, to forgive Sasuke. Before we left, I asked Sai to keep our departure a secret from Danzou, our acting Sixth Hokage while Tsunade was in a coma. During our stay at a hotel in the Land of Iron, Madara Uchiha confronted Naruto, but Yamato and myself were already expecting him and we attacked him. Knowing that our attacks wouldn’t do anything to him, Madara told us about Sasuke’s motivations, the Sage of the Six Paths, the Uchiha Clan, and the truth about Itachi. After he told us all of that I asked him what his motives were and all I got from him was “to be complete” as he disappeared from us.
Sai and Sakura followed Naruto, Yamato and myself to the Land of Iron, there Sakura told Naruto that she loved him, as I watched on is disappointment and stopping Yamato from interfering, knowing that Naruto would handle it. I suspected that wasn’t the real reason she came all this way out here, and I was confirmed of my suspicions by Sai’s Ink Clone. Sakura, as a greed upon by the Konoha 11, was going to kill Sasuke before he involved Konoha in a future war. Knowing that Sakura is no match for Sasuke, I prepared to follow her. Just at that moment I was about to trail after her, Gaara arrived to tell us about the start of the Fourth Shinobi World War, and the actions Danzou did at the Kage Summit, he then added that the rest of the Kages would prefer it if I was the Hokage, and as he took his leave I had one of Sai’s Ink Clones guide me to where Sakura was.
While en route to her location Sai’s Ink Clone disperses due to her neutralizing Sai. I then found her in time to stop Sasuke from killing her and telling her, that as Sasuke’s teacher I will be the one to kill him. I made one final attempt to get Sasuke away from the path of vengeance, but he responded by only bringing his entire clan back would he stop. I then told Sakura to leave with Karin while I fought Sasuke, and I contemplated my feelings being the same as the Third Hokage’s with Orochimaru. Our fight then soon ended up off the bridge that the both of us were on and I was then attacked by Sasuke’s Susano’o. I was forced to use Kamui to divert the attack, which left me unable to protect Sakura, who had just rejoined into the fight. Naruto arrived just in time to save her, and with Sasuke’s eyes on the verge of blindness I attempted to finish him off. But then Naruto stopped me in order to talk with Sasuke, who gloats about how he killed Danzou. Madara and Zetsu then arrived and at Naruto’s request I allowed them to leave without incident. I then tried to take out Madara with Kamui, but Madara told me that the technique wouldn’t work on him. Madara then teleports away taking Sasuke with him, and Zetsu leaves soon after.
Back in Konoha, I spoke with Koharu Utatane, and Homura Mitokado about everything that had occurred in the Land of Iron. While I was reluctant about becoming the Hokage, I agreed and accompanied them to a meeting with the Fire Daimyou. But before I could be appointed Hokage, news had reached us about Tsunade finally waking up, and ending the proceedings. Later on while she was recovering, I spoke with her and thanked her for waking up when she did, stating the fact that I didn’t feel “cut out” to be the Hokage.
Fourth Shinobi World War
I was then later on appointed as Commander of the Third Division of the Allied Shinobi Forces. As the other generals and I stood over our battalions I urged Gaara, as he is the Regimental Commander, to say a few words to them. As two ninja’s on the brink of fighting bickered at one another, I watched and noted that I had a feeling would have happened and as Gaara separated the two of them and spoke to the masses I noticed how the atmosphere changed around the ninja.
Later on during the first day of the war I was with my division, as I saw the ambush squad set off their red flare, and then ordered my division to go to the Surprise Attack Division. We arrived just in the nick of time to save Sai, Omoi, and Zaji from danger. Much to mine and Sakura’s surprise, we found Zabuza and Haku amongst the enemy ranks. The two of them asked how Naruto was doing, and I told them that he has become an admirable shinobi. However, our reunion was cut short when Kabuto strengthened his grip on the resurrected shinobi, completely eradicating their personalities. Before they completely lost control of themselves, they pleaded for me to stop them, and as I was agreeing I revealed my Sharingan. As Zabuza used the Hidden Mist Technique, I ordered my squad into a Manji formation around the sensor ninja. As my division was about to launch a counter attack, we all watched in exasperation as the previous generation of the Seven Swordsman of the Mist are summoned to the battlefield. As the swordsmen began to thin out the division’s numbers, I came up with a plan to neutralize the Hidden Mist technique used by Zabuza. I then tried to impale Zabuza with my Lightning Cutter, only to have Haku jump in the way of the attack once again. Zabuza then tried to seize the opportunity to strike while I was immobile.
I narrowly dodged the attack with only a shallow wound, while Haku was bisected at the waist. As I reflected on how this situation was just like our last battle, I remembered how Zabuza and Haku taught Naruto an important lesson on Bonds, I then openly thanked them for being Naruto’s first opponents. Also remembering how I grew to respect and like the two rogue ninja, I was more determined to free them from their undead prison in respect for the way they had chosen to die. I then ordered my men to prepare the strategy again as I charged forward, using my Lightning Cutter to destroy Zabuza’s sword-wielding arm and stab him threw the chest. My team then used special bounds to trap them, also causing the Hidden Mist to dispel. I then openly voiced my anger at how low someone could be to toy with the dead, I then lifted Zabuza’s fully regenerated blade and I stated that the Copy Ninja will now go on a Rampage.
On the next day of the war, my division and I continued our battle against the remaining Mist Swordsmen. So I imbued the Kubikiribocho with lightning, and cut down Fuguki Suikazan, with Sai immediately sealing him within his drawings. After which I asked Sai, who was noticeably winded, if he was alright. Once I saw more White Zetsu Army clones arriving, I quickly told Guy, whom of which wanted us to take them all down at once, that we had reinforcements, after I had noticed Naruto's clone arrive on the battlefield. After we dealt with the remaining Mist Swordsmen, Guy and myself headed out to save Naruto from being captured by Tobi. Once Tobi had materialized himself we attacked him, and I was able to retrieve Naruto before Tobi could warp him away.
I smiled at my pupil and told him that I couldn't just sit idly by while my student overexerted himself. While I was deciphering what Naruto had told us, I watched on as the Five-Tails charged at Tobi, and theorized that he didn't have perfect control over the beasts, before I told Naruto to remain focused. As the beasts charged at us, I quickly told Guy that we needed to decipher which of the tailed beasts had what abilities of the Six Path's of Pain. I activated my Lightning Cutter, and Guy and myself confronted the beasts head on, I was shocked when I noticed that none of them were using any of the abilities. Guy and myself watch in shock as Tobi, after congratulating me on my observation skills, causes Utakata and Roshi to fully transform. As the Six-Tails attacks breathing out a corrosive gas, I quickly warn Guy not to touch the substance that it spewed out at all.
As we retreated Guy alerted me to Naruto's predicament. I told Guy that we were unable to leave and save Naruto from Son Goku's jaws as we were being pressured from all sides, I created a Shadow Clone and assumed the Manji Formation. Entrusting our backs to one another, my clone and I charged forward with the Lightning Transmission technique, severing the chakra arms. I prepared myself for another onslaught of attacks as the beasts confronted me head on. As Naruto succeeded in releasing Son from Tobi's control, both myself and Guy watched on in shock as the now fully transformed Jinchuriki bear down on us.
As our situation became dire, I decided that I would warp away all five Tailed Beats Balls away that were aimed at us, but Guy proceeded to tell me that there was no way that I would have the strength that. But I also declined Guy's decision of opening the Eighth Gate, stating that he would die after opening it. However both of us were saved by Naruto who deflects the attacks with such speed that I momentarily mistake him for my former master....Minato. Being absorbed into the Nine-Tails chakra as Naruto transformed, both Guy and myself watch on at the battle between the beasts ensued in horror as the five opposing beasts combined their Tailed Beast Ball, and Naruto attempts to counter with his own.
After Naruto's Tailed Beast mode was canceled, I stood up alongside Guy, who uncharacteristically says that he felt old after seeing come so far, which somewhat shocked me. I then told Guy that our youth wasn't over just yet, which seemingly got Guy back to his old self. Guy, Naruto, myself and Killer B, who is fully transformed in his Eight Tails form prepared to assault Tobi and the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path. As I launched an attack with my shadow clone, I then called for Guy who followed up with an attack followed by B and Naruto, though the latter of which continued to taunt Tobi, despite my advisement against it.
While Naruto and Guy battled Tobi, I focused on the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path. I tried to use Kamui on the statue to remove it's head, however the statue seemed to have nullified my attack which confused me. I then infused my Lightning release into my kunai, and call out for B to launch me. As I was launched across the battlefield, I easily cut through a rock that separated me from Naruto and I launched the kunai at Tobi, who became intangible and kicked the kunai back at Naruto. I then used Kamui once again to warp the kunai away. As we regrouped as the last attack seemingly failed, we wondered how we were going to defeat Tobi.
As I noticed the slight crack in Tobi's mask, I denied the fact that it was made by Naruto's latest attack, and noted that the crack was too sharp to have been made by an impact such as that. As soon as I realized what had made a gash like that, I called out to my allies to test my hypothesis. Climbing into B's hand the three of us were launched across the battlefield, and after Guy and Naruto respectively attacked Tobi, just before the latter phased through Naruto's Rasengan, I used Kamui to send the Rasengan to the other dimension. Tobi's right arm was then subsequently by an unseen attack at which time I stated that my hypothesis was correct and I realized that Tobi wasn't using two separate techniques to warp himself away and another to phase, but one single technique.
Obliged to Guy's request to tell him my analysis in the simplest way possible, I explain that what occurred is that Tobi is only intangible by transferring part of himself to the other dimension where I send whatever I send whatever I target with Kamui. I then point out the link between my Sharingan's dimension and Tobi's dimension are one and the same, I quickly question Tobi on where exactly he had gotten his Sharingan eye from. However, I was horrified once I heard Tobi's answer was that he obtained it at the Kannabi Bridge during the previous war. At that time I was at a loss of words, due to being in a daze thinking of my former comrade, Guy tried to snap me out of it while Naruto charged at Tobi in his Tailed Beast Mode. After I heard Naruto's speech, I rallied back and readied a new strategy that required me to time the few remaining Kamui I could use perfectly. I charged forward as Naruto created a Shadow Clone to attack Tobi, I warped Naruto's clone to the other dimension just before I collapsed to the ground from the strain with my left eye bleeding. The clone I sent to the other dimension ended up catching Tobi off guard and ended up shattering his mask.
As Tobi's mask shattered I was left stunned as I looked on to see the man that was behind the mask, was my childhood friend Obito Uchiha. When I questioned him on how he had survived that day, Obito avoided answering my question, and explained the reason behind his plan was, that I failed to protect Rin, which caused Obito to hate "this useless reality". Obito then quickly attacked us but was thwarted by Naruto, but we were then soon joined by the reincarnated Madara Uchiha.
With my Team 7 effectively dissolved, I spent two and a half years to further enhance and refine abilities to prepare for the inevitable battle with Akatsuki. After Naruto had finally returned to the village, he gave me the latest edition of the Icha-Icha series. I later had Naruto and Sakura take the bell test again, but this time the objective being for them to actually capture both of the bells, just too see how much the two of them have improved these last two years. When they were unable to get close enough to me to each take a bell, the two of them decided to try and spoil the plot of the latest Icha-Icha series that Naruto had just given too me, thus I forced myself to close my eyes and cover my ears…allowing them to catch me off guard and get the bells.
When word of Gaara’s kidnapping had reached Konoha, My team and I were sent on a mission to rescue the Kazekage, Gaara. Upon arriving in Sunagakure, we were teamed with Lady Chiyo, after she had mistaken me for my father and tried to attack me, after she was corrected on who I was we all set off after Akatsuki’s trail.
Along the way, we encountered Itachi, and this time I was able to fight on even grounds with him, although I did realize that his performance wasn’t the same that it was when we first fought. With a well timed maneuver, I tricked and managed to restrain Itachi, giving a big enough opening for Naruto to use his Big Ball Rasengan. Although afterwards we had found out that the Itachi we had just fought was nothing more than a look-alike and a decoy. We then met up with Team Guy, who was sent as a back up team for my team, outside of the Akatsuki’s Lair. Because there was a barrier over the entrance, Team Guy set out to take down the barrier. This allowed my team to infiltrate the lair, where we found Sasori, Deidara, and Gaara. Deidara quickly flew off with Gaara’s body, as Naruto and I took off after him, leaving Sakura and Lady Chiyo to handle Sasori. But before I could be appointed Hokage, news had reached us about Tsunade finally waking up, and ending the proceedings. Later on while she was recovering, I spoke with her and thanked her for waking up when she did, stating the fact that I didn’t feel “cut out” to be the Hokage.
Fourth Shinobi World War

Later on during the first day of the war I was with my division, as I saw the ambush squad set off their red flare, and then ordered my division to go to the Surprise Attack Division. We arrived just in the nick of time to save Sai, Omoi, and Zaji from danger. Much to mine and Sakura’s surprise, we found Zabuza and Haku amongst the enemy ranks. The two of them asked how Naruto was doing, and I told them that he has become an admirable shinobi. However, our reunion was cut short when Kabuto strengthened his grip on the resurrected shinobi, completely eradicating their personalities. Before they completely lost control of themselves, they pleaded for me to stop them, and as I was agreeing I revealed my Sharingan. As Zabuza used the Hidden Mist Technique, I ordered my squad into a Manji formation around the sensor ninja. As my division was about to launch a counter attack, we all watched in exasperation as the previous generation of the Seven Swordsman of the Mist are summoned to the battlefield. As the swordsmen began to thin out the division’s numbers, I came up with a plan to neutralize the Hidden Mist technique used by Zabuza. I then tried to impale Zabuza with my Lightning Cutter, only to have Haku jump in the way of the attack once again. Zabuza then tried to seize the opportunity to strike while I was immobile. I narrowly dodged the attack with only a shallow wound, while Haku was bisected at the waist. As I reflected on how this situation was just like our last battle, I remembered how Zabuza and Haku taught Naruto an important lesson on Bonds, I then openly thanked them for being Naruto’s first opponents. Also remembering how I grew to respect and like the two rogue ninja, I was more determined to free them from their undead prison in respect for the way they had chosen to die. I then ordered my men to prepare the strategy again as I charged forward, using my Lightning Cutter to destroy Zabuza’s sword-wielding arm and stab him threw the chest. My team then used special bounds to trap them, also causing the Hidden Mist to dispel. I then openly voiced my anger at how low someone could be to toy with the dead, I then lifted Zabuza’s fully regenerated blade and I stated that the Copy Ninja will now go on a Rampage.

On the next day of the war, my division and I continued our battle against the remaining Mist Swordsmen. So I imbued the Kubikiribocho with lightning, and cut down Fuguki Suikazan, with Sai immediately sealing him within his drawings. After which I asked Sai, who was noticeably winded, if he was alright. Once I saw more White Zetsu Army clones arriving, I quickly told Guy, whom of which wanted us to take them all down at once, that we had reinforcements, after I had noticed Naruto's clone arrive on the battlefield. After we dealt with the remaining Mist Swordsmen, Guy and myself headed out to save Naruto from being captured by Tobi. Once Tobi had materialized himself we attacked him, and I was able to retrieve Naruto before Tobi could warp him away.I smiled at my pupil and told him that I couldn't just sit idly by while my student overexerted himself. While I was deciphering what Naruto had told us, I watched on as the Five-Tails charged at Tobi, and theorized that he didn't have perfect control over the beasts, before I told Naruto to remain focused. As the beasts charged at us, I quickly told Guy that we needed to decipher which of the tailed beasts had what abilities of the Six Path's of Pain. I activated my Lightning Cutter, and Guy and myself confronted the beasts head on, I was shocked when I noticed that none of them were using any of the abilities. Guy and myself watch in shock as Tobi, after congratulating me on my observation skills, causes Utakata and Roshi to fully transform. As the Six-Tails attacks breathing out a corrosive gas, I quickly warn Guy not to touch the substance that it spewed out at all.
As we retreated Guy alerted me to Naruto's predicament. I told Guy that we were unable to leave and save Naruto from Son Goku's jaws as we were being pressured from all sides, I created a Shadow Clone and assumed the Manji Formation. Entrusting our backs to one another, my clone and I charged forward with the Lightning Transmission technique, severing the chakra arms. I prepared myself for another onslaught of attacks as the beasts confronted me head on. As Naruto succeeded in releasing Son from Tobi's control, both myself and Guy watched on in shock as the now fully transformed Jinchuriki bear down on us.As our situation became dire, I decided that I would warp away all five Tailed Beats Balls away that were aimed at us, but Guy proceeded to tell me that there was no way that I would have the strength that. But I also declined Guy's decision of opening the Eighth Gate, stating that he would die after opening it. However both of us were saved by Naruto who deflects the attacks with such speed that I momentarily mistake him for my former master....Minato. Being absorbed into the Nine-Tails chakra as Naruto transformed, both Guy and myself watch on at the battle between the beasts ensued in horror as the five opposing beasts combined their Tailed Beast Ball, and Naruto attempts to counter with his own.
After Naruto's Tailed Beast mode was canceled, I stood up alongside Guy, who uncharacteristically says that he felt old after seeing come so far, which somewhat shocked me. I then told Guy that our youth wasn't over just yet, which seemingly got Guy back to his old self. Guy, Naruto, myself and Killer B, who is fully transformed in his Eight Tails form prepared to assault Tobi and the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path. As I launched an attack with my shadow clone, I then called for Guy who followed up with an attack followed by B and Naruto, though the latter of which continued to taunt Tobi, despite my advisement against it.While Naruto and Guy battled Tobi, I focused on the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path. I tried to use Kamui on the statue to remove it's head, however the statue seemed to have nullified my attack which confused me. I then infused my Lightning release into my kunai, and call out for B to launch me. As I was launched across the battlefield, I easily cut through a rock that separated me from Naruto and I launched the kunai at Tobi, who became intangible and kicked the kunai back at Naruto. I then used Kamui once again to warp the kunai away. As we regrouped as the last attack seemingly failed, we wondered how we were going to defeat Tobi.
As I noticed the slight crack in Tobi's mask, I denied the fact that it was made by Naruto's latest attack, and noted that the crack was too sharp to have been made by an impact such as that. As soon as I realized what had made a gash like that, I called out to my allies to test my hypothesis. Climbing into B's hand the three of us were launched across the battlefield, and after Guy and Naruto respectively attacked Tobi, just before the latter phased through Naruto's Rasengan, I used Kamui to send the Rasengan to the other dimension. Tobi's right arm was then subsequently by an unseen attack at which time I stated that my hypothesis was correct and I realized that Tobi wasn't using two separate techniques to warp himself away and another to phase, but one single technique. Obliged to Guy's request to tell him my analysis in the simplest way possible, I explain that what occurred is that Tobi is only intangible by transferring part of himself to the other dimension where I send whatever I send whatever I target with Kamui. I then point out the link between my Sharingan's dimension and Tobi's dimension are one and the same, I quickly question Tobi on where exactly he had gotten his Sharingan eye from. However, I was horrified once I heard Tobi's answer was that he obtained it at the Kannabi Bridge during the previous war. At that time I was at a loss of words, due to being in a daze thinking of my former comrade, Guy tried to snap me out of it while Naruto charged at Tobi in his Tailed Beast Mode. After I heard Naruto's speech, I rallied back and readied a new strategy that required me to time the few remaining Kamui I could use perfectly. I charged forward as Naruto created a Shadow Clone to attack Tobi, I warped Naruto's clone to the other dimension just before I collapsed to the ground from the strain with my left eye bleeding. The clone I sent to the other dimension ended up catching Tobi off guard and ended up shattering his mask.
As Tobi's mask shattered I was left stunned as I looked on to see the man that was behind the mask, was my childhood friend Obito Uchiha. When I questioned him on how he had survived that day, Obito avoided answering my question, and explained the reason behind his plan was, that I failed to protect Rin, which caused Obito to hate "this useless reality". Obito then quickly attacked us but was thwarted by Naruto, but we were then soon joined by the reincarnated Madara Uchiha.

Kakashi is a natural genius, evidenced by the speed he rose through the ninja ranks; he graduated from the Academy at age 5, becoming a chunin at age 6, a jonin at age 13, and had a long tenure as an ANBU. Naruto notes that much of Kakashi's battle prowess is greater than his friends who showed exceptional might in their specific skills. A match for seemingly any opponent, it was also noted by Tsunade that Kakashi is easily one of Konoha's strongest ninja. During his career he has amassed a technique arsenal of over a thousand different techniques, making him Konoha's expert in the field. His various accomplishments have earned him much praise by his fellow Konoha ninja and he holds a position of great influence. He is frequently given responsibility for important tasks, such as watching Naruto in case the seal of the Nine-Tailed Demon Fox begins to fail and being considered for Hokage.
Other ninja villages are very aware of Kakashi's abilities and, upon meeting him in battle, either fear for their safety or grow excited by the challenge Kakashi is sure to pose. Kakashi's intellect has proven itself against various S-rank ninja, including members of Akatsuki, showing unsurpassed perceptive and analytical skills, able to quickly and single-handedly deduced the workings of the most mysterious enemy techniques and plotted a successful diversion in order to verify his theory, ultimately proving it correct. He is aided in this regard by his calm personality, which allows him to handle a given situation with some detachment.

Taijutsu:
Kakashi has proven to be very adept in taijutsu, even being considered greater than Rock Lee, a master taijutsu specialist. He is also noted to have impressive speed; being able to intercept an opponent even from a distance as seen during the very start of the bell test. His battle prowess and speed allow him to effectively catch his opponents off-guard to quickly strike them down and easily evade attacks. With his skill, even when greatly outnumbered by hundreds of shadow clones, he is easily able to defeat them. He is also able to open at least one of the Eight Gates and (in the anime) utilise advance techniques derived from it. His speed increased considerably in Part II as in Part I, he had difficulty keeping up with Itachi Uchiha but matched the Akatsuki member after the time skip. His hand seal prowess has also been noted as being very great, as he is able to perform them at highly difficult speeds to follow.
Ninjutsu:
Kakashi primarily relies on his mastery of ninjutsu, of which he has a vast arsenal due to his Sharingan; being noted to have copied over a thousand techniques, the number has continuously been growing through his many battles. With this arsenal, he can attack or defend against his opponents in numerous manners. His prowess also allows him to enhance his physical tools, channelling lightning-natured chakra through them. Kakashi is also able to summon a pack of ninja hounds to aid him in battle or for other supplementary purposes.
Other Skills:
Kakashi's expertise is not limited to the three major ninja skill sets, as he is renowned for his tracking abilities and has otherwise displayed proficiency with trap-making, survival, stealth, and assassination. Orochimaru also noted that Kakashi had started practising the use of fuuinjutsu around the time of the Chunin Exam Arc, which he found impressive given Kakashi's age. He is also a highly-skilled user in a large variety of weapons, especially in kenjutsu due to his ANBU background. One example is his use of Zabuza's Kubikiribōchō, a feat made more impressive by his ability to lift the giant blade with one hand. Kakashi is also noted to have a better sense of smell than Kiba Inuzuka did in Part I, a noteworthy member of a clan with canine-like senses.
Nature Transformation:
In addition to the sheer number of techniques he is purported to know, he also has high prowess in multiple elements. He has a natural affinity for Lightning Release, which he has mastered and which has, in turn, become an attribute that enemy ninja identify him by. His prowess with Water Release techniques is such that he is able to perform them even without a nearby water source. He has used Earth Release techniques to produce intricate earthen walls rather quickly. He has also been shown using Fire Release techniques in the anime, and he is otherwise at least knowledgeable enough with Wind Release to help train Naruto in its use.

Sharingan:
Kakashi's most distinguishing ability is his Sharingan, a gift from his friend Obito Uchiha, as its ability to have him to copy nearly any technique used against him gave him the moniker "Copy Ninja" while seeing through any deception, give hypnotic suggestions, perform genjutsu, and predict his opponent's movements. This was seen in action twice, once against Zabuza Momochi and then against on Root members sent to watch Naruto.However, because Kakashi is not of Uchiha blood and cannot deactivate it, he uses a massive amount of chakra to utilise his Sharingan, keeping it covered when not in battle and taking extended bed rest from using it extensively. Because of this, Kakashi only relies on it when he feels it is an absolute necessity. Despite his handicap with the Sharingan, he is very skilled in using it; Itachi Uchiha, a true heir and master of the Sharingan, acknowledged Kakashi's superior proficiency with the Sharingan compared to most true Sharingan wielders.
Chakra Prowess:
Originally, Kakashi's primary weakness was his barely average reserves of chakra and stamina. He could only maintain his Sharingan for a short time, quickly tiring out from overusing it and ultimately collapsing, followed by great difficulty to even stand for days. He also claimed he could only use his signature technique, Lightning Cutter, four times in a single day before it wouldn't work. To compensate for this, Kakakashi possesses very refined chakra control, allowing him to use multiple techniques quickly with the minimum necessary chakra and to their highest level. Kakashi’s control also allows him to perform various techniques, usually lightning-based, with few to no hand seals.
Over the course of the series, his reserves improved considerably to extend his timespan and versatility to fight multiple high-level opponents. Genjutsu:
While used less often, he has also shown skill in genjutsu, which he can use as a set-up for stronger attacks. His skill in its usage is able to easily deceive most opponents with well-time diversions, giving his opponents little chance to counter. During the bell test for Team 7, Kakashi was able to use low-level techniques to easily subdue a keen-minded individual like Sakura. Against high-level genjutsu, has advanced knowledge of their working and is able to easily dispel all by the strongest of techniques.
