Who's to say Kakashi has any knowledge about the tablet tho? Or that he knows the seal to enter the room that only Sasuke actually shown to use while Orochimaru who studied everything probably should have know. More than likely takes the sharingan and a seal.

Kakashi wouldn't know about the MS weakening their sight unless his was as well.

All he just asked Itachi how far has his eye deteriorated. He never said he was going blind. Am I not reading something correctly

Read what I said above, there's no way that has been shown, suggested or exampled how Kakashi would know the MS weakens an Uchiha's eye sight unless his eye sight was also effected. Plus Kakashi didn't use his MS as much nor as long as Sasuke and Itachi. Kamui is a quick attack while Amaterasu and Susanoo requires the MS to be used longer. Amaterasu requires you to focus on what you want to burn (target moves and you chase them with flame like Itachi did), need it on to manipulate the enton or to put it out. Susanoo is the work for obvious reasons.

Kakashi used about 5 Kamui's before the War arc then like 6-9 times in the war. Sasuke having his MS active takes away some of his sight, using MS jutsus only do it quicker. Sasuke and Itachi activated their MS more than Kakashi. Obito is another case.

If Kakashi really doesn't go blind and just read about it on the tablet, then it could be also a possible explanation of how he learned he's got MS himself (he seemed not to be aware of it until Part 2). My hypothesis is that Kakashi could have wanted to do some research on Mangekyo after his fight against Itachi, which eventually led him to the Uchiha tablet and Kamui.

But it's all speculation - we don't know if MS influences Kakashi's sight or not.

I just don't see him having any knowledge of the room at all, it has nothing to do with him nor does it hold any value to anything he or anyone else would want. Kakashi wouldn't know the tablet had info on the MS, in fact Sasuke who did read the tablet didn't know about going blind until Itachi told him which futher makes me think Kakadhi didn't get into that room. This is an Uchiha secret afterall and the only person I can see having any knowledge of the tablet is Hiruzen and maybe Danzo, only non-Uchiha person shown to be in that room was Hashirama in his flashback and I might have to recheck but I'm sure it wasn't underground at that time.

If Kakashi read the tablet then wouldn't he know he could control Kurama with his MS and suppress him? That's the main thing Sasuke talked about with Itachi (Itachi told him how they go blind and Sasuke asked of that's the cost for controlling the 9 tails)
