in my opinion kakashi kamui is the key to this, he kamuis hidans head off or some of his body that restricts his body function enough to make it a 2 vs 1 fight. kakuzu can repair hidan but not when hidans body parts are in another dimension. after hidan is out of it, kakashi and gai could take out kakuzu without going all out.
