Do you think it would have been better if Kishi didn't put the kakashi backstory at the beginning of Shippuden but he introduced the flashback right after the Tobi reveal?

And OP- No because the whole point of Obito's mask was to hide his identity and give the viewers a shock when it gets revealed if kakashi gaiden got released after we found out who Tobi was there'd be no suspense to it.

Well once you would figure out who Obito was through the flashback, you'd know the importance of Obito to kakashi. There is still suspense on who Tobi would be, but nobody would guess Obito, cause we didn't know him.

No, I think where it was ended up being perfect. Kishi gave a lot of back story right after the mask broke. Imagine reading Kakashi Gaiden all the way through to when Rin died. What's that 2 months of flashbacks? Ruins pacing to do it that way.
