These akatsuki are long ranged, but kakashi is experienced in long range and can use lightning techniques very effectively. He could definitely be a match for deidara and his explosives.

Gai, while mostly a close range fighter, can use his morning peacock technique to take out sasori's 100 puppets. His attacks are very devastating at close range, so if gai gets in close, then he could possibly destroy sasori in one good punch.

No gai could try attacking him again, but even then, physical attacks don't work on sasori, you need to get his heart or his body just forms backtogether... and all this time sasori can be attacking guy with any poison kunai or his little chain w.e

Again you forget "sharingan can see chakra" xd Kakashi if he look at Sasori, he will immediately notice that the only living thing on him is his heart and they will obviously attack it. Also yes, Sasori could survive Gai's physical attacks, but without his puppets he can't transfer his heart bodies to bodies, so when Gai will notice it, he will destroy it as well.

For Sasoris attacks, i believe that if a weakling like Sakura was able to dodge his attacks, that means they are not that fast. So someone like Gai with his speed in gates mode could handle it without much problems. Maybe Sasori won't even have time to land his attacks, since he will be in defense position against Gai continuously attacking him.

You forget also that Gai can use 7gates to blow away Sasori and his puppets if it's needed, and you know pretty much how powerful this attack is.

no it won't be easy, back then deidara didn't know shit about what it did// now he knows, so he can 1) make his clay clones , or fly out of it's range.. or just continuously attack kaakshi with homing missiles so he never gets the chance

No, i'm not saying it's impossible to do it, but it won't be that easy. Just see how Kakashi managed to feint Itachi. He had to hide himself underground, and at that moment Itachi could see nothing. Against Sasuke don't also forget that before that, Sasuke was trying to escape C4, so at that time Deidara had a lot of time to do clones out of the sharingan range.

Flying out of range surely can help him if Kakashi is not able to see him. He can even decide to go away if he wants. xd But during a fight to death, he needs to be on a certain distance from his opponent to be sure to land his attacks and able to hit him. If he is too far from his opponent, it would be much more easier to see the attack coming and being prepared for that.

gai moves on to deidara, sasori would already have third kazekage out

don't forget kakashi would be busy with deidara and his bombs and doesn't have anytime to interfere in gai's fight..

Sasori's attacks weren't fast? you realize it was because of chiyo's strings , giving her extra speed + her speed she was dodging them? and even then, iron sand world got her, there was no dodging it was there

Like i've said, if he land his attacks from far distance it could be a waste of chakra, in particularly when he fights powerful opponents, cuz they could see it much more easier and be prepared either to avoid them or counter them. Why do you think he didn't wanted to attack Sasuke by far distance? It was because he needed to be close to him to attack Sasuke much more faster, and don't let him the opportunity to react in time.

How? Sakura never thought she killed him to begin with, cuz from the start Chiyo told her it was only Sasori's puppet. How could Gai fail to notice Sasori when he will see him trying to escape after he destroyed hiruko?

It depends if they are fighting together in the same place or if they are fighting in different places. For example currently we're seeing Gai and Kakashi fighting together against Bijuus, but that doesn't mean each other have no time to see what's happening. Gai even saw when Naruto was about to get captured by Son, and told that to Kakashi. So even if Kakashi is busy with Deidara, knowing that they work as a tag team, they will continuously be there to try to help the other. That's again a point where Kakashi and Gai are better. They work as a team, when Sasori and Deidara are only individual when they fights.

No at a moment, Chiyo said that Sakura was able to dodge Sasoris attacks on her own without help. Also, even if you say Chiyo, Gai in gates mode is faster than them both. I don't see him being touch that easily. And don't also forget Kakashi is there for the tactical moves(if they are fighting together like currently). If he sees something weird he will immediately notice it and inform Gai as well like he always do. And if it's needed, Gai can use 7gates to blow Sasori and his puppets away like i've said.

deidara makes a clay bird while sasori uses iron sand circular defence. since he can make any shape out of iron sand he wants, he makes a spiked world order around his sphere defence. while kakashi and gai waste their time trying to stop sasori, deidara casts C4 on both. kakashi and gai breath in nanobombs and disintegrate.
gai cant get into gates instantly, remember that.
