Kakashi is severely UNDERRATED.

One, he never Kamui's right out the gate. He uses it more defensively, seen as when he stopped Deidara's explosion, stopped Pains needle, stopped Sasuke's arrow, was prepared to use it against Kakuzu pulling him towards him to rip his heart out, and so on.

Kamui CAN kill people. Deidara just got lucky.

AMATERASU is the move that's overrated here. It has all this hype, yet hasn't KILLED anyone yet. ****ing KARIN survived it.

Actually kakashi is overrated and underrated. Once you see him winning poll results against, mu, sasori, mei and kisame you know he is overrated.

Also you made a miskate. Amaterasu has killed people and tbh everything i see people say it hasnt i question whether maybe im reading a different manga :shrug:

Those Zetsu are more or less fodder.... Why even count them?

Has it killed anyone notable? In a vs. matchup, I'm glad to see that we are putting Kakashi vs. Random Zetsu clone number 86,734. That is a match worth seeing....

I can see him beating Mei and Sasori, but not Muu, nor Kisame.

I am making this thread to see why people are over-rating Kakashi so much. Please give reasons as to why you think Kakashi could hang with some of the toughest and why he can win in some cases.

1: Kakashi cannot beat Itachi-Kishi cleared that one.
2: Kakashi's Kamui has not beaten/killed anyone, so saying that he can just one shot someone is never enough of a reason to say he wins.
3: I have heard people say that Kakashi is much stronger than we have seen and base these theories on nothing.

Use evidence to back up arguments and stop being fanboys!! Kakashi is a great character with some great moves but stop making him limitless. His limits have been set and stated and he is never gonna be the strongest.

Making my point:

This is from Madromanof on Page 2: Kakashi can fight one on one with almost all akatsuki members and kill them except itachi and nagato. You see after witnessing sasuke use all ms techs made me think even kakashi can kill him. This isnt a joke kakashis arsenal is big enough to surprise us. To keep up with itachi evem for a little aint easy feat. While itachi is fighting to kill.

Jus cause he's never killed someone with it doesnt mean it cant happen.

but on to why he's up there in the high ranks

1. Kakashi as copied over 1000 justus an can use all elements
2. Kakashi is easily top 5 when it comes to brains in a fight
3. When it comes to taijutsu there not alot of people who would beat him

The only thing he's really weak in is genjutsu, there's not a whole lot kakashi cant do an thats why people are giving him the RESPECT he deserves, it's not being a fanboy. Although i can name some obvious people who can beat him.

1. Nagato or pain
2. Itachi
3. Probably sasuke now, but sasuakes a hot head an kakashi's smarter so if sasuke wins its only cause of suasnoo
4. A, because of his lightning sheild
5. naruto now
6. tsiukage(probably spelled that wrong)
7. tobi
8. oro
9. jiraiya
10. kabuto now
11. Minato
12. 1st an maybe the 2nd hokage

Now you've changed it. You claimed it hasnt killed anyone. I showed you that it has killed, that alone is enough. Whether high kage or fodder, the manga disagree's with your first post. Amaterasu has killed.

I hear the same thing being said over 11 pages....Kamui can kill anybody...I would like all these people to think of other things about Kakashi which make him great and rely less on his Ultimate. Kakashi is not at his peak yet no, but even so he has been shown to not be the most elite member of the Naruto cast but he does serve as a great character in the story.
I have not made this thread because of any one person or post but as a result of a long-term accumulation of people hyping Kamui to death.

Kakashi was epic before Kamui, and was always one of the shows most likeable and varied fighters. But he is all about balance, he is not the powerhouse people want him to be. If he was as good as everyone was saying, then he would be fighting head on with Tobi or Madara but he isn't. He is currently serving as support to Bee & Naruto.

And no to those who rate Kakashi as better than Gaara, you have no reasons to be able to say that. Same as I will not say Gaara is better than Kakashi as I have no way of knowing how a fight between the two would go.

Either way, thanks to all who have posted on this thread and be sure to use some evidence to back what you say, or at least try logic.

No, I'm not wrong because WHO the hell is counting Zetsu fodder? That's just a desperate attempt to be right... Nobody is thinking of random Zetsu that are being taken out by no-name Chunin...

The Zetsu fodder aren't even really ninja. They all have the same techniques and were birthed from Tailed Beast Chakra and Gedo Mazo without having a life before that.

1- Maybe i've not read well, but i think no one said he could beat Itachi
2- Kamui has not beaten anyone? So do Amaterasu, TBB, Kirin, and others also.
3- It's pretty obvious that Kakashi is stronger. People are always making the mistake to compare Kakashi in part1 with current Kakashi. It's not the same. If you compare, he is faster, more intelligent, has more stamina, has MS(Kamui). He is more powerful. It's as if you say that Gaara is weak cuz he lost against Deidara in the begin of part2. Gaara improved himself as well even if he lost Shukaku(at least that is what some people say).

Come on now, you are the few people here who i can say i actually respect. Zetsu whether fodder or not were living breathing creatures and amaterasu killed them, no different to the crow that had shisui's eye or the snake that got burnt after sasuke vs itchi's itachi's fight. Amaterasu has killed.

For you ill say this. If you go back to sasuke vs danzo, danzo wouldve died if it wasnt for izanagi, which got him and at that time he was more or less the 6th hokage. A kage level ninja;

Luckily he had izanagi or else thats him dead. He was totally engulfed by it. Also amatersu is actually one of the few high level techniques that has a fairly good killing record. Who has dust release killed, tbb, kamui. Obviously they can all kill if aimed properly but you cannot deny that out of these techniques its amaterasu who has killed

Kakashi has proven his worth time in and time out through the duration of his time in both the anime/manga. Just because he hasn't killed anyone (That we've seen) doesn't show weakness but even more so a greater strength. Sure he can't beat Itachi in a fight but who really can?
