It seems to me that as a kid. Kakashi was able to use lighting blade multiple times.
But as a adult he chakra reserves seems to be smaller.
I think that kakashi actually has chakra reserves as big as base naruto but the sharingan really is draining his chakra even when its covered.
What do you think if you watched kakashi chronicles you see that he used lighting blade more than 4 times.

Yes I believe Kakashi chakra reserves are rather big.He invented an S rank jutsu that required shape and nature manipulation in a young age.It is possible that the sharingan sucks up a little chakra when it's covered too,cause it activated even though it's powers are not used.

Back then he also had his father's whitelight chakra sabre. That was the sword that gave the White fang his name. Unfortunatley it broke. I think Kakashi without sharingan would still be as badass as his father. But then he would not be able to use chidori to that point of perfection.

That's why he seemingly gets exhausted fast. Against Tendo Pain he used Lightning Clone, 1 Raikiri and Daton techniques while the Sharingan was enabled and he stated that was around half of his. Plus he is Lighting based and most Raiton techniques require large amount of chakra.

As a kid he was more reckless with his chakra so it might have seemed he has more, but he didn't. He also did not use that many huge jutsus.
