He clearly didn't shoot kamui at himself here, he just used it to warp himself to the other dimension, just as Obito does.

This means Kakashi's Kamui has actually surpassed Obito's. He can shoot it from a distance and use it at close range via proximity.

Why does this matter?

Well, considering he can use it like Obito can now, it's only a matter of time before he starts to use it's defensive properties, just as Obito did. Albeit he wouldn't be able to spam it due to lack of Senju DNA, but he may be able to use it to get out of a tough bind.

And that my friends, would be the definition of OP.

Both obito and kakashi can teleport themselves but the difference is obito can become intangible and kakashi can use kamui an object from a difference. This means that kakashi has mastered his kamui to the same level as obito
